Please do not consider these ppl for any kind of trip. You will.just ruin ur peace of mind. My parents planned a trip for Europe with them.1. First of all they are horrible at communicating anything.There is zero initiative in their behalf. My dad had to keep calling them for visa processing etc.2. My parents were not leaving back from Paris but traveling onwards to Canada to visit me,hence they needed only one way ticket from Hyderabad to Zurich. My father kept on requesting the ticket and finally got it a week before the travel date. Now on the date of travel,he kept trying to check in but was getting an error. He called the airline and they said that the ticket was canceled. The ticket said they were to depart at 4 am on 14th June. Now after calling Thomas Cook and saying that the ticket was canceled, they sent a new ticket which was at 9 pm on 13th June.So basically, the ticket got preponed by several hours. Luckily my parents were packed and ready to leave, they just about made it.3. My parents were staying back for two days extra in Paris, Thomas Cook kept saying they will extend the accommodation but again canceled last moment.4. My father had already paid for the optional activity in Zurich but on the day of activity, they said that my parents name was not there on the list.My father had to pay 360 euros again for that activity.All of this to say save urself some pain and just DO NOT BOOK THOMAS COOK.We still have about 600 euros that are to be refunded. Horrible tour services. I am 1000% sure there are better services out there.
Thomas Cook is not a very comfortable company to plan a vacation with.Reasons-1)They are very difficult to communicate with.2)They are very rigid.3)As soon as the full payment is made,they break all contacts and do not respond to any request for contact.4)On reaching the destination you are left at the mercy of the local representative who may or may not respond to your calls.5)They don’t provide and contact number of their representative in India so no chances of asking for any help from the company.My personal experience-1)All of the abovePlus2)On reaching the destination,the number of the local representative was switched off and since i wasn’t provided any number of their Indian Representative,i had to keep searching for the pick up vehicle by running here and there.2)Their guide for city tour disappeared after the first stop of city tour.Conclusion-It’s an advise to not take any packages from Thomas Cook.
Stressful, Nightmarish experience. Thomas Cook India is everything that a business in the hospitality should not be. They have zero interest in customer service , respect / empathy for individual customer’s for hard earned money or dreams. They thoroughly screwed up the Fusion Europe trip that we had booked with them 3 months in advance by their sheer inefficiency and lack of interest for individual s customers. In addition to the mental agony , we suffered from them cancelling our trip, last minute, they have deducted huge amount from the refundThings that we have discovered: Thomas Cook doesn’t offer any advantages or professionalism associated with corporate., infact you find lot of disadvantages when any issues occur.The initial prompt response to sales enquiries, enthusiastic package discussions and repeated follow ups from their end gives a false sense of professionalism, which ends once you advance the amount. Infact their whole attitude shifts abruptly.Your local TC booking agent will have zero answers or be of any use in case of issues, be it about visa appointments, refund or rescheduling the trip. They will just say, we have a corporate process. everything is decided by Mumbai office…you are left completely hanging with your lakhs of Rs in their pockets and no one to approach.There is no escalation points in case of issues . Your only point of contact is the booking agent. You just get an automated ticket when you raise issues via email / toll free with no further calls or actions for resolutions(we had to invoke personal contacts within their head team to get a refund, even with )Their interest is in corporate bookings for which they second prioritise individual groups/ families, particularly when registering for visa appointment slotsHotel details are shared just one day in advance of travel date only. These are like whatever is available, not same as they mention in the brochure. They change the initial flights at the last minute. You are put on the spot and they pressure you to agree to all of this mentioning otherwise you will lose all your money.Their visa services are really poor. While other tour operators gave their clients Schengen visa appointments atleast a month upfront (die to news about visa delays), TC gave visa appointments less than 2 week before travel.It is not a case of single inefficient agent, as far as our experience with communicating with TC goes, the entire organisation is inefficient, not able to handle peak tourist seasons, and reeks of corporate arrogance. The initial TC agency must have been good. We believe that, this current agency is just thriving on that good name.
Overall very rough experience for the amount of money spent. On my Europe tour and hotels didn’t had elevators. Tour manager was rude with lot of attitude. He will says complain to the company if you have any problems. He was unfit and tired. Always coughing. Looks like he was out of his strength. Please have younger and fit people to guide the tour. Back office didn’t handle bookings correctly. Very messed up tour company. Only there to make money.
Thomas cook is a very bad company and shows no interest regarding customers queries, they are very unprofessional, Incase of any mishap they don’t take up responsibilities and asked us to pay more amount than usual. The management is messed up and they really need to upgrade the working or shut the company for good
Thomas Cook is a crook company and should be avoided at all cost. Especially at the airport they will check your passport and visa if they are the immigration official. They just want you harass the foreign nationals. Their customer service is zero. This company should be avoided at all cost.
Hi, I am from Hyderabad . I have never written a bad review against even a simple delivery person but I am forced to do this so that no other customer is lied to and deceived in a manner that I have been deceived . This complaint is regarding Mr Kishore from the Banjara Hills branch and his team in Hyderabad. Me and my partner reached out to Mr Kishore for a Switzerland trip. Although he discouraged us saying we would not get the visa and to try for Turkey first. It all started here and then every thing else went downhill from there. I specifically asked for personalised tour but after weeks of back-and-forth, he convinced us to go for a group tour that was organised by Europamundo. My only priorities were that I wanted to travel with diverse people from different countries and not visit any country that I am seeing in a rush. Every single time I stepped into his office and stepped out of his office I always very humbly and nicely asked him if it is going to be a rush in the tour, and if the hotels are going to be nice and he always told me that it won’t be a rush, it was done leisurely and the hotels are really nice.I told Mr Kishore specifically that I have travelled to more than 20 countries in my life, and my top priority is the comfort of the tour, hotel wise, scheduling, sightseeing, getting enough relaxation, etc. After I went on this tour, it was the most horrible experience of my life. We were made to wake up and rush from one place to another every single day 12 hours a day. We were seeing two or three different cities in one day and sleeping in another city and waking up and going to another city the next day. Moreover, the hotels were in such bad localities and the services were so bad that they did not even turn on the central air conditioning. Even upon requesting several times and some hotels had food stains on their towels and one hotel had blood stain on the bed sheet, reaking of smoke foul smell of rotten food everywhere in the hotels. The bus in which we were travelling for 12 hours in a day was the size of a minivan and absolutely uncomfortable seats. The driver would not even turn on the AC. There came a point where we had to give up and disconnect from the tour and makes fresh reservations and continue the travel on our own. We lost so much money due to it. Mr Kishore at the Banjara Hills branch in Hyderabad was very misleading. If every Thomas Cook office in India does this then I am very disappointed with the efforts put in the brand to revive.I wish people who are opting for this company to travel abroad or anywhere can come across my review and not opt for it. And I wish all this is brought to the notice of the board of directors of Thomas Cook India and they do something about it.Thank you.
