Train from Newcastle to Leeds, to arrive 6.28 with a 10 minute walk to Leeds coach station to catch a 7am bus. Gets to York at 6.06am. We sit for 15 or 20 minutes and then announce the train to cancelled. I'm not sure why as the "broken" train is west of Leeds. Waited for the next TPE which went to Leeds and arrived 7.17am and obviously missed my coach. For this I'll receive £5.05. What a joke. It goes nowhere near buying a new ticket and the inconvenience this has caused me.

Compelled thro fiscal coercion to…

Compelled thro fiscal coercion to travel an hour earlier from Leeds to Scarborough it was still standing room only made all the more galling on the second leg [ Hogwarts Express] by schoolchildren happy to see older ladies stand too. Staff , nowhere to be seen - guess unhappy to face disgruntled passengers and I for one don't blame them. Poor management.

Faster to get to London (160 miles) than Leeds (40 miles)

I CAN CURRENTLY GET TO LONDON (just under 160 miles) FASTER THAN I CAN GET TO LEEDS (just under 40 miles)How does Transpennine Express continue to get away with it?Hugely expensive, slow, unreliable and at peak times, no seatsThe other morning between Manchester-Leeds there was a medical emergency on board and because the aisles were completely full of people standing it made reaching the person concerned way more difficult than it should have been. I've had years of misery having to use this service and it's just getting slower, more expensive and less reliableWould give 0/5 stars if I could

First Class seats free for all now !! APPARENTLY

I have come to expect constant delays when using Transpennine express these days, but something that really bothers me now, is paying for 1st class tickets and receiving zero benefits !! And standard class ticket holders are being allowed to sit in first class coaches ?? If it is now free for all STOP charging for the service

Do NOT buy first class tickets with…

Do NOT buy first class tickets with this train service provider. They do NOT provide catering services on some of their first class services. If you buy your ticket from another retailer or train service they do not indicate that they are not providing a first clss service. As usual, avoid TPE like the plague if you can, they are misleading passengers.TPE reply default response. I did complain. Characteristic feature of TPE, deny everything, grind the customer down so they lose interest. Not seen any professionalism with this company, just avoid and do NOT travel by 1st class.

Trains cancelled.

Our trains were cancelled due to a problem on the track near Howden. We had concert tickets for Leeds and a hotel booked which cost over £300. Connecting trains would've got us there really late. Mark Creamer went above and beyond to help us. Extremely grateful. Thank you so much!

The staff were great.Friendly and helpful. First class was very comfortable and the food was good.Caught behind a slow train we arrived 20 minutes late. Announcer told us we could claim compensation. Easy application on the website and it duly arrived a few days later. Definitely recommend TransPennine

Catering Staff onboard

Group of us out for a girls weekend travelled home from Liverpool Lime Street back to Newcastle. (12.50p.m) interaction with the staff member bringing around the catering trolley was absolutely great- John Banks totally made our day, such a laugh inteteracting with all of us. Many thanks to John , he should be praised highly for his customer service!

Fake first class

Got the 13:33 from Manchester Victoria to York. Bought first class seats. Service very poor. No beer said they ran out and were “busy in the morning” asked if I could have a cold white wine. White wine was lukewarm they said they had no fridge. Asked if there was any food we were offered mini packets of crisps and a few biscuits. No lunch or food offeredSeat tatty and dirty. Floor of the carriage covered in litter and crumbs.
