We’ll promise to compensate and disappoint further!

Not too bad today - only a 19 min delay. Delay repay - loudly stated to make you feel better. Ronnie Biggs wouldn’t be able to crack the endless bots and passwords as you try to navigate 2 account creation processes to make you give up before you can claim - walking, bus, cycling anything but TPE

Promises made to be broke

What can I say about this suboptimal train company. They always cancel last minute to add more stress to your journey. Worst thing yet is to cancel part of the route last minute, after a train that could have been used to catch the original train. Why? Why are they allowed to do this? Then give suggestions to jump around trains to get to your destination eventually. Pay so much for disappointment and bad management

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, booked return tickets stalybridge to york. Outbound journey great.Return trip ciach frim york to leeds as no trains. Get to leeds train pulls in 5 carriages, very few seats available due to passengers on train already then the rest packed like sardines in a can as at a guess 200 plus got on in leeds. I di not appreciate buying a train ticket to be put on a train especially suffering with a leg injury, i could have driven the journey in comfort, no stress and for less money.Total shambles

Why both with first class Travelling today Newcastle to York…

Travelling today Newcastle to York first class .. less than half full Nice seats … 52 minutes to get a cup of tea from a member of staff who is so indifferent to the passengers that one wonders why she is in a customer facing role … good job I wasn’t after any food

Lovely staff and clean trains but late and cancelled - unusable for commuters

Lovely staff and clean trains - but trains between Huddersfield and Leeds routinely cancelled and late at rush hour often significantly and enough for people to miss connections. Often standing room only. No use for commuters and feel for anyone who is unable to drive as that is what I will be doing despite wanting to help the environment. This has been my experience over a month - regret buying a month pass.

Pretty poor to be honest

Pretty poor to be honest, took the train from seamer to Leeds. Booked a ticket, the ticket the machine was drawing my attention to was an advanced single, I was unsure what to book and admittedly went against my better judgement and just book the slightly more expensive ticket in these situations. Anyways I pressed advanced single as it appeared to be for the next train, plus I had been timed out 3 times trying to workout what was the difference in tickets at first glance, plus I was initially slightly ignorant to the word advanced being visible. After pressing print ticket it occurred to me that it was probably the wrong choice, but with no support available, or opportunity to change the ticket I chose to board the next train despite doubt s, just as I was boarding I saw a SMALL time printed that said 2pm rather than one. However due to the recent daylight savings time changes I was unsure entirely wether this was a mistake, as little information seemed to be given about the ticket in general. After boarding the train the conductor came round, he initially walked past me, but wanting clarity on my ticket I held the ticket up as he walked past, he confirmed I was on the wrong service, and suggested that the solution was I pay again. This is where for me it gets poor in terms of customer service and respect, looking ahead there was a sign threatening to "fine" although it's not a fine but an offer of contact, customers up to £100, for such mistakes. I responded by saying basically I've pressed the wrong button then, he suggested I get off at the next stop, which I agreed to do. Now for me getting off at the next stop was no issue, however no consideration or concern seemed to be given to my potential medical needs and if the next station was appropriate, or possible need to be somewhere in the case of an emergency. The solutions here where simple for me, first when booking a train to the destination I requested, no gimmicks X price for this time x price for the other no confusion then. Second offer a ticket exchange, even for a small fee, third stop being so authoritarian and just let the 70p go, your wealthy share holders I doubt will miss it.I will further add that the matter was discussed over telecoms quite loudly, not that it particularly bothered me but still, upon leaving the train and waiting at the station for the next one, the conductor was talking rather loudly about previous rude customer s which sounded like it was reference to similar situations like the one that had just taken place. Think in future il consider a care share.

I’ve just been robbed

I’ve just been robbed, yes that’s right robbed in broad day light by tranpennine express, £48 to go one way from Stockport to Scunthorpe…. 70 miles!!!! I could have driven there and back twice for less money. Absolutely shocking my blood is literally boiling right now as I’ve been robbed and now the train I’ve been fleeced on isn’t even running on time…. And wait update…… no seats either!!! What a sorry state of affairs this country is. Europe makes us look so stupid. I will be doing my upmost to never use the Uk rail network ever again and especially transpennine express rip off 2 bit company. Robbed for the last time.

Very poor and pathetic services

I travel from Leeds to Manchester on transpennine express. Staff on station and onboard were rude with zero information about their own trains. They even don't know the timings of trains and reason for delays. They run away if I ask them about some questions. Shame on them and shame on transpennine pathetic services

Had to come back for a rant

Had to come back for a rant, I was in an unfortunate situation, where I was unsure what ticket to purchase, there was no help so I just bought the one the machine drew my attention too. It was the wrong one, despite resolving the situation peacefully on the day but raising some issues later the response I got back was self important and authoritarian.I made suggestion like a ticket service allowed passengers to correct ticket purchases should there be issues, but computer says no on that one, and heaven forbid that they actually consider such a method. The gist of the response as a dyslexic adult was I had some good point but I should be greatful to the almighty over lord train conductor for not fining me, despite the fact that he wasn`t even going to check my ticket. So for anyone interested in the nooks and crannies of this so called potential fine (not a fine cause it has to go to court), First of all national rail regulations are only given the force of law via the consenting, this is achieved throw joinder basically the passenger giving up there name and address, by doing so you activate national rail regulations, and they can then attempt to take you to court. It say in the regualtions they REQUEST your details, that doesn`t mean you have to give them to them, and if you don`t what happens nothing. As a dyslexic adult I will not be pushed around, or punished financially for my disability for , or be scared by there propaganda this type of thing has to stop. So people its upto you but I urge you to reaserch this type of thing for yourself and stop letting these profit orientated companies scaring you, should they attempt anything like this again and my condition is not supported I will have not issues in taking this to court.
