I traveled on the 20th & the 23rd March…

I traveled on the 20th & the 23rd March in first class on each occasion on both trains were on time, and staffed by friendly professional crew. The trains were clean, and the complimentary food drinks and snacks provided were plentiful and tasty served by a friendly host. Looking forward to my next trip.

LB as First Class host on TPExpres Today

LB as First Class host on TPExpress from Edinburgh to Newcastle with a Seatfrog upgrade.Clean, quiet coach. Comfy seats and tasty tea and decent snacks graciously served by our host LB. Good job!

Underwhelming & extortionate 1st class…

Underwhelming & extortionate 1st class experience, save your money because it’s not worth it. I complained to TPE who sent me the following reply. Thank you for contacting TransPennine Express and sharing your experience with us.“ I’m sorry to hear about your journey from Hull to Liverpool Lime Street, I completely understand how disappointing it must have been to find no catering available.I have checked our logs and can see that there is no First Class catering scheduled for this route only hot/cold drinks and biscuits”.

First class service

On the train to Liverpool and currently there is no problems. Train was on time and a smooth ride. I am in first class today and conductor imran on train was very nice and helpful. I was taken care by the staff who were wonderful name were Elizabeth and Ruby. They made my trip extra special. And tended to my every need. First class is nice and quiet today. Seats are comfortable made out of leather and is able to recline plenty of space. The refreshments were plentiful and had an excellent choice. These novo trains are so comfortable. Excellent hospitality always.

I'd rather walk

Travelling from Grimsby town to Manchester Piccadilly.. not once did we get asked for our tickets 🤔.. absolutely no service at all nor heating ( absolutely freezing) .. not even a crap cup of cheap tea to keep us warm .. we paid over £200 for a return ticket in 1st class and im sat next to someone who didnt pay with a screaming kid .. brilliant 👏... poorest service every time I Travel with these but unfortunately there is no other route or providers... really need to up your game .. worst public transport I've ever know

Three out of three. 100% fail

Third time using trans pennine and third time the train is delayed over 90 minutes. Third time I have missed my event and 3rd time of struggling to get a refund. Of course I don’t need the return as I can’t get to Manchester so I don’t care if that runs on time. It is a dreadful service

Good experience

I must have been lucky. I joined at Preston after a booked first class journey to Glasgow with Avanti was disrupted. I got a seat, the bog was working, the carriage was in good condition, and catering service from Ms Chan beyond reproach. Overall XLNt, thanks. Maybe weekend services would be more problematic. The big railway companies all seem to hover around 2 - 2.5 stars.
