absolute scam , they had me verify over and over wouldnt upgrade me so i could the number to ring clients , 3 months of messing about, customer service is disgusting 9 days and still no reply , i defo would advise no one from using these its a absolute sham
My account access was hijack and bill went from 0 to -161$ in 2 days after 3-4 automatic email from their security system sayin my account was suspended due to suspicious activity. At $0.014/min for outbound calls (which your logs show these were):132.99÷132.99÷0.014 = 9,499+ minutes of fraudulent callsThat's 158+ HOURS of fraudulent call timeOver 6.5 DAYS of continuous fraudulent calling but their system look like they didn't give a shit except falsely mentionning they suspended my account.Strangely, the moment i normally hitted 0$ balance, every tiny part of Twilio ecosystem under my account was suspended "for lack of fund".But they allowed 6 days (24x6h ) of continuous call. Now they ask me to pay the balance and threaten me to transfer to their debt dept. 😂This is the first times it happens in 8 years of services, but this is totally unacceptable.
Awful onboarding experience. Account was locked immediately after sign-up, and then I had to provide social links, bios, alias explanations, and project proof — just to access the platform. It’s easier to open a US bank account than to get started with Twilio. If you’re not a corporation, stay away.
I signed up with Twilio for a simple project involving educational or light personal use, willing to pay for their service. Despite submitting everything they asked for, including identity and project information, they permanently deactivated my account with no clear justification.Their onboarding process is overly strict and inconsistent, especially for small developers or individuals. If you’re not a large company with a long paper trail, they make it almost impossible to use their service—even if you pay.Twilio might have been a leader once, but now they seem more focused on blocking users than supporting new developers or small businesses. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. You're better off using alternatives like ClickSend, SimpleTexting, or even open APIs like Textbelt.Twilio Blocks Legitimate Users – Disappointing Experience
As others, I am getting Spam calling me daily on my Mobile and Home numbers, both registered with TPS from various UK dialling codes. Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Chester, London, Liverpool to name just a few. I don’t answer the calls but I use who called me website to check the number and its always associated with Twilio Ireland. All scams including Diesel emissions, insulation, telecoms, utilities, roofing. I’ve reported on 'Who Called Me.UK' and 7726. Never ending for months
Spam calling me daily from various UK dialling codes. I’ve reported them to ofcom and Ico every time they’ve called. At a guess I’d say between 70-80 times in less than 2 months.
My SendGrid account was compromised and used to send over 60,000 spam emails. I did not authorize this activity, and I followed all security best practices: 2FA was enabled, API keys were revoked immediately, IP restrictions were put in place, and I submitted everything they requested — including multiple Root Cause Analyses (RCA).Despite this, SendGrid:Did not alert me during the abuse, only after charging my card for $624.33Allowed mass API abuse to continue even after I deleted all API keysRepeatedly ignored my RCA submissions, instead copy-pasting the same request from different support agentsUltimately refused to issue a refund or reinstate the account, blaming me for "not identifying the root cause" — despite finding no credential leaks on my endThis is a pattern of behavior designed to stall, deny responsibility, and shift blame onto the customer — even when the platform itself failed to prevent or detect massive unauthorized usage.I've since filed a formal credit card dispute and submitted complaints to the BBB and FTC. If you’re a developer or small business relying on SendGrid, be warned: if anything goes wrong, you’re on your own — and they’ll bill you for fraud they didn’t stop.

We take care of the messy telecom hardware and expose a globally available cloud API that developers can interact with to build intelligent and complex communications systems. As your app's usage scales up or down, Twilio automatically scales with you. You only pay for what you use - no contracts, no shenanigans.
