I am being harrased by multiple calls every day from multiple numbers, all of which are owned by Twilio Ireland. I have not received ANY harrassing/silent/abusive calls from any other provider. I have compained to Twilio but they dismiss my problem as nothing to do with them. They have either been hacked or they are selling their suite of phone numbers to fraudsters and lying about it.
Would you like to be conned and harassed? I recommend Twilio! I can’t count the number of times I have asked them to remove my number from their data base. (I’m on TPS). They are breaking the law by constantly harassing me. I’ve stored their number in my landline and blocked it under the name ‘nuisance’. Lo and behold I’m called again by someone different wanting to scam me. Guess what? The phone screen displays the name ‘nuisance’. They are getting around the blocking system as they are classed as ‘international’, despite the number being displayed when they ring as in the U.K.
I have been really frustrated with there phone service so I decided to port my number. There customer service refused to give me my account details, repeatedly said we had all info correct for the port and they would release the number but they did not. 2 weeks later and still they won't provide the info. They gave me a number to contact but when I called they refused to provide any of the account info I needed for the port. I don't recommend.
Part Two.After my stream of very frustrating initial complaints, I discovered that my MasterCard had once again been charged for yet another month’s service. I opened a ticket with M/C who suggested that I contact “the Merchant” before they would institute a complaint. I complained again to Twilio-SendGrid, and was told that they would reverse those charges. And got the usual bafflgab from "service." But much to my amazement, March 7th, the credit appeared on my M/C statement. But there was another worrying development as a result of my February complaint… I received a phishing email from AMEX requiring that I had made a PETCO transaction on an AMEX Card. And guess where that link took me… right back to Twilio-SendGrid. Now I am not a lawyer, but that can’t be legal in Colorado (where SendGrid is registered) or California (where the billing purports to come from.)The Colorado FBI should be notified (if there are any staff left in that branch.)So I sent an email to Sameer Dholakia (who as far as I know, is still CEO of Twilio SendGrid) suggesting that legal action may be pending. I have not heard back from him, nor was I expecting any response from this company that I highly recommend that you steer clear of for any business dealings.BTW, I do have two emails for Mr. Dholakia, which did not bounce, but apparently I cannot include here.
I strongly advise against doing business with them. They charged my account and suspended it on the same day, citing the need for additional screening information. I promptly provided the requested details, only to receive the same automated email twice with no real response. Later that same week, they charged my account again—only to suspend it once more. Now, I’m locked out, unable to access any of their products despite having been charged twice, and still waiting for customer support to (hopefully) refund my money. This has been a frustrating and unacceptable experience.
This is probably the ONLY paid service i know of that does NOT provide even an email/chat support. They reject your application during the tedious process of applying for US A2P 10DLC Registration (which is relatively new and tedious process) WITHOUT giving a reason! How do you know what is wrong???? You have to literally guess why they failed you. There is NO WAY to contact them to ask why UNLESS you are willing to pay an ADDITIONAL "Greater of $250 minimum or 4% of monthly spend" - That's INSANE just to ASK a QUESTION about their unintuitive user experience! Note that they do provide an AI bot support which is close to useless.
