Review Time
My son's beat headphones had broken and I found Electronic Partners online. I had a quote back so quickly and the process to send them off was so easy to use. I was amazed at how quickly we got them back back. But most of all, the quality of the repair was fantastic. I would 100% recommend this company as the service was excellent!
Electronic Partners advertised that they could repair the Internet radio on my Cocktail X10 music cd ripper/player. The cd hard drive stored my collection of 237 cds and worked perfectly when I sent it to Electronic Partners. Only the internet radio was defective when I posted it off for repair. 2 weeks later my machine was returned to me with an email stating that they could not repair the radio and when I fired up machine I find that they have either wiped the hard drive or removed it completely as it indicates there isn't a hard drive fitted.I only wanted a radio fix and they have turned my player into a lump of junk.Do not ever trust these people with anything, they will ruin it.
I sent a turntable to Electronic Partners for repair as the automatic tone arm wasn't fuctioning. Having not heard anything back from them, I twice had to ask for an update. The first response was a standard "repair times are longer than usual" reply, however the second request (sent 21 days after they received my turntable) finally prompted them to actually look at my item. Unfortunately they didnt repair it, barely explained why or what the issue was & then had me pay an extortionate amount to send it back still unusable. Would not recommend
I was very impressed with the quality of their technical service and the expertise of the team. The technicians clearly know their stuff and handled the job efficiently. However, the customer service side of things could do with some improvement. There appears to be a disconnect, as I repeatedly received misinformation and a lack of clarity regarding updates and next steps. Overall, while the technical work was top-notch, better communication and more accurate information from front office would make the experience much smoother.
1. Service provided: Headphone jack replacement2. Reason for review: Huge 3 month waiting period for a part, only for nothing to happenLet me ask you a question as the reader – how long would you expect a customer wait before being informed about the availability/lack of availability of a part: A couple of weeks, a month perhaps, what about 3 whole months… It took 3 months NOT to actually source the part (which may have been acceptable) but to instead inform me that the part would not be available in the first place. If the part would not be available, clearly, I should have been told months beforehand that they were struggling to get the part and to inform me of my options as the customer. They may (assumption only) not have even attempted to get the part in the first place?Throughout this time, let us talk about customer support: As you can imagine, there were multiple follow-ups sent, first to the chat bot (before I knew that the bot had not recorded things properly) and then to customer support. I simply received basic messages saying that they would check this with their team; only for nothing to happen…At the very end of this period, I was told that the part was received and that I should expect to receive a quotation. Eagerly waiting for a repair quotation, I instead received a quotation for a replacement pair of headphones which costs hundreds of pounds and was significantly more than my original pair…To close off this situation, I finally received a call from a knowledgeable and respectful individual who stated that his colleague had made a mistake (one of many) and that in fact they had not received the part…Despite respecting the caller, this phone call of course should have happened months earlier and would have saved this totally unnecessarily long waiting period.
I wouldn't usually bother writing a review unless I've got a grievance, something I'm always wary of when looking up other people's reviews, however in this instance I was really impressed with the service I'd received with these guys. My Asus ZenFone 10 had an issue where the SIM reader no longer worked for reasons I still don't understand. Given the value of the phone I was worried the repair would be stupidly expensive and yet it was very reasonable, in fact it was less than EP had initially quoted me. Granted I paid the extra for the express service but I was still pretty chuffed by the fact that I'd sent it off on a Monday and got it back again on the Friday. They were really good at keeping me up to date with the process and made sure the phone was well wrapped when it was sent back. I'm writing this review in part to remind myself to use these guys again if I ever have another electronic issue.
