I sold 4 glass bowls to a customer in Sweden. Wrapped them througly and shipped them from Denmark. The buyer simply refused to pick up the package, referring to her mental issues resulting in uncontrolled shopping sprees. After about a month, where Vinted did zip, Postnord confirmed that they unfortunately smashed the package on the return from Stockholm to Copenhagen. Eventhough you have no return rights when the item arrives undamaged, Vinted did not refund me for the in the cause of events now damaged goods. But did refund the buyer who unrightfully refused to pick up her purchase and caused the uncalled for return, resulting in the breakage. I have paid both the insurance included in the postal fee and an additional ‘security fee’ to Vinted. LMAO. Only reply the usual AI ‘our policy bla bla’. No sense of service towards loyal customers. (20 years plus). When I asked for info on their complaints access, they sumply didn’t answer. Happend in Q1 2026.
I am frustrated with Vinted’s policy regarding buyers not collecting their packages. The process is that if a buyer doesn't pick up a parcel, it is returned to the seller, the order is cancelled, and the buyer is refunded. There are no repercussions for buyers who repeatedly do not collect their parcels, and sellers cannot leave reviews for buyers in these cases.I have tried it numerous times! I can give you a recent example, I handed in a parcel 29 Dec 2025, buyer never collected it, today 22 January 2026 I still do not have my item or my money💔 I have tried to contact Vinted but I cannot get any support (and all replies come instantly and are clearly generated automatically).I am also frustrated with the policy that a buyer can place a bid on one of my adds, I then accept, BUT instead of a trade the buyer can ignore finalisation and leave me hanging forever. Danish purchase law dictates that an accepted offer is binding for both parties and a trade should follow. How can Vinted operate counter to our Danish købelov paragraph 1.9?Side remark: If you do manage to sell something on Vinted. It takes forever before you get your money! Finally I am frustrated with the seller’s rights if a buyer reports an issue. I have reported a seller who sold me fake Valentino’s but it ended up costing me the return freight to a foreign country. Vinted does not offer any support if the seller select the option that the buyer has to pay the return fee. You can either accept that you have to pay this unwanted expense or keep the delivery - those are your only two options. Reminds me of the French expression: "entre la peste et le choléra". Which would you prefer: the plague or cholera? 💔 it is an impossible choice between two terrible options.
I sold many many items on Trendsales from their start date until Vinted took it over and I had to take a break from online sales. Now after moving from a huge house to smaller flat, I had to say goodbye to all my items :special, brands, vintage, quality, high street etc.So I started selling online again four days ago and my god I already had sold so many tings. The new app has better new features which I love and of course can br developed further to be even better 👍It might be due to competition between new different second hand apps or the world economy affecting all of us, the prices and what buyers are willing to pay is much lower than Trendsales. That's life 😊Thanks 🙏
