Horror experience with them from start to the end! I raised a complaint and they found another lie after the first one when I did contacted them. I asked them for a letter of confirmation that they closed my escalation and the person over the phone told me that they will not provide me this. You think that without that, I cannot go further? I can, just wanted all to be properly added.
I will leave this with the relevant teams as seems lies for every reply.
Run from this company as much as you can! As you will be left into the airport with a holiday destroyed, extra charges and no replies from them.

Dear Customer Relations Team,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the last-minute cancellation of my car rental reservation, which has resulted in significant financial loss and travel disruption.
Reservation Details:We had 3 cars to pick up from your Helsinki Airport location, and I did call in time, as does say on the confirmation,it does say that if we get late at the pick up, we will be charged! But when I reached yours, the reply was that you do not have any cars available and left us without cars, and without transport to the location where we were supposed to stay for the holiday.

Despite my booking being confirmed and a deposit being accepted, I received a cancellation notice only 4 hours prior to pickup, stating that no vehicles were available. At this time, I had already flown into Finland, and I was on the way to the airport specifically to collect this vehicle.
Because your company failed to honor the confirmed booking or provide a suitable alternative, I have been forced to pay the taxi to get us to the location where we were living, which was in Mikkeli, but a remote location, and I will attach the location exactly. Korhosentie 262
Mikkeli, South Savo 52420 - this was a remote location and for us to get here, did cost us 534 pounds, plus we needed after to pay the taxi from this location to another location to can pick some cars, which cost us another 125 pounds. The cars which we rented for our full stay did cost us another 459.99 pounds for one car, and 458.99 pounds on another , plus the train tickets to get back to Helsinki airport for our flight of 592.20 euros.
In light of this breach of service, I am requesting the following:
Rented a car in Bulgaria via VIP Cars.
A €5,000 deposit was charged to my credit card.
The car was returned without damage and no damage report was provided.
Over 45 days later, the money has not been refunded.
Be very careful with deposits when booking through this company.
Very disappointed that the cost of my hire car doubled when I got to the office due to the fact that I am 68 ………yes 68 ! You need to pay an extra €10 PER DAY if you are over 65 absolute scam !
They take my money in October and they didn't give me the car i rent in Zanzibar, no refund money and they say we sort it soon, they always reply like they care, but they don't , is cheap to free reply instead to give me my money back , you didn't do nothing in the last 4 months ,scammers

I made an online reservation, paid in advance, and arranged to pick up the vehicle at the airport. However, the company never arrived at the agreed location and did not deliver the car as promised. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, I received no support, explanation, or refund for my reservation. This behavior reflects a complete lack of professionalism and honesty, and it is deceptive toward customers. I do not recommend using this car rental service in Jamaica or booking through the mentioned platforms. Other travelers should be very cautious when dealing with this company to avoid similar losses and frustration.

Opting for their insurance does not eliminate the high-pressure insurance sales tactics often used by car rental companies at the pickup counter (especially after a long flight). Their coverage necessitates a deposit of up to €3000, and you'll need to claim any expenses back from VIPCars if an incident occurs (like a collision). This means dealing with the rental company first, then submitting a claim to VIPCars later, similar to a car garage providing third-party warranty insurance. I rented a car for £85 and paid VIPCars £64.10, believing it was for car insurance to avoid confrontation at the Rental Desk. However, the rental company (Gold Cars) denied any knowledge of VIPCars' coverage, suggesting it was ineffective. I was left with the option to pay a hefty deposit or accept Gold Cars' exorbitant insurance fee (over £200). Ultimately, my total car rental cost exceeded £350 for the week. When I contacted a VIPCars representative, they insisted I was obligated by our agreement to notify them from the rental counter when Gold Cars denied the VIPCars coverage and pressured me for insurance or a large deposit. I acknowledge my oversight but want to warn others about making the same error. Stay informed before making decisions. Additionally, this issue also reflects on the rental company (Gold Cars), which should have been aware of what I purchased from VIPCars, considering their partnership.
Caution to All, The company collaborates with a fraudulent car rental service that operates under a misleading name. I filed an official complaint regarding this deceptive service and provided evidence, but they showed little concern. They failed to support me during a stressful situation with the fraudulent car rental and completely disregarded my alerts. Now, they are attempting to close my complaint ticket despite the issue remaining unresolved, as the rental service still has 900 euros blocked on my credit card and may misuse that amount. Furthermore, the company continues to work with this fraudulent service, leaving us vulnerable to such scams with no effective measures taken to address them. Be aware that if issues arise, their assistance is severely lacking.
I am very dissatisfied with the service provided. I made a reservation for a vehicle in Rome through a travel platform (Dec 24 - Jan 4), but the local supplier refused to hand over the car, stating that my driver's license and Apostille were "invalid."
This feels like a clear scam. On the same day, at the same airport, I was able to rent a vehicle from another international provider using the EXACT SAME DOCUMENTS without any issues. This demonstrates that my documents are legally valid in Italy, and the supplier simply failed to honor the agreement.
Due to their arbitrary refusal, I had to rent from another counter at the last moment, which cost me 5,500 RMB (almost double my initial price of 2,700 RMB).
Even after presenting the rental agreement from their competitor as solid proof, the service is still hiding behind a "supplier investigation" to retain my prepayment. I have already initiated a formal chargeback with my bank and will pursue a claim for the total financial loss caused by this service failure.
Avoid this service at all costs! They do not support their customers and use misleading terms to keep your money.

A security deposit of 15,900 MAD was taken, the vehicle was returned on schedule and in perfect condition, and I was assured that the deposit would be refunded within 30 days. Now, over two months have passed, and I still haven't received the deposit back, despite numerous inquiries with the rental service. I reached out to the support team, and while they replied quickly, no tangible solution has emerged yet, and it’s been over a week without any updates or resolution. Although the problem lies with the rental service, it is ultimately the platform’s duty to thoroughly vet the reliability and practices of the partners it endorses. Customers rely on the platform to ensure trustworthy options. I hope this matter gets resolved soon, but until then, this experience has seriously shaken my confidence in the platform's partner choices.
