An unforgettable flight with a great team and a superb pilot

My husband and I had an unforgettable experience flying with this company. It took us 2.5 years to finally fly as the dates kept being cancelled, but it was definitely worth the wait! I would do it again and again if I could afford it :) The flight was everything we imagined it would be, but without the nerves that I thought I would experience. We took off in Gosfield and landed in Gt Leighs, the landscape below us was so pretty, with the autumnal colours and a slight haze from the clouds above. I didn’t expect it to be so pleasant in the middle of October. The flight itself was amazing, very smooth and peaceful - it felt like we were a cloud drifting through the air. The whole team, comprising of Adrian, Ian and Derek, were superb and put us at ease from the very beginning. From the moment we met our pilot Adrian it was clear that we were in very good hands. Adrian was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and oh so calm and collected, which is a great attribute for a pilot. We were even allowed to help out with setting up and putting away (trying to get the 300kg balloon back into its bag is more fun than I thought it would be :)Both my husband and I would highly recommend this company and this team!! Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Great experience and had a great time…

Great experience and had a great time with a great guide. Everyone was lovely and the weather was beautiful. This was a birthday gift from2023 but I was always too scared and the times were always busy but I blocked up the courage and did it… it was difficult getting into and out of basket as we both have knee replacements and the landing was scary and landed in a mooli/turnip field tipped sideways but managed to get out. Ended the morning feeling happy and would highly recommend. Sandwiches or snacks would be nice with the bubbly

Customer Care Experience above & beyond

Having had to cry off for a recent booked balloon flight to celebrate my parent's Golden Anniversary due to family health, Lynn was super helpful, compassionate & went above & beyond to accomodate our family needs. As a result, my parent's are atill now able to celebrate their special day as planned. Thank you Lynn & Virgin

This is not a review of a flight (I was unable to flydue to a deteriorating one problem) but a review of the superb response from Louise at customer support. When I got in touch to explain about my osteoarthritis she responded very quickly and offered me a range of options. My issue was quickly resolved with all communication feeling personal and thoughtful. Thank you Louise!

An incredible experience

An incredible experience, floating in the clouds. Time stood still.Peter and he’s crew were amazing. An incredibly skilled pilot with a wicked sense of humour. We would 100% fly with Peter again and couldn’t recommend this enough!

Be prepared to wait a very long time to get on a flight.

My son and I have both bought vouchers for this experience. What we didn't realise is that due to the need for ideal weather conditions, there is a very high cancellation rate. Furthermore you don't get notification until the day. Some people have waited 5 years to get on a flight. So far this year we've tried 5 times to get on a flight. I've approached Virgin and asked to switch into another experience, which they have refused to do.

Flew today after serval cancelled…

Flew today after serval cancelled flights (the crew cant control the weather) this was one of my wife's dreams and to share this with her was amazing. All the crew, Adrian, ian and Katie were very welcoming and friendly and Adrian made the flight very peaceful and relaxing. Would 100% recommend

Overpriced for the experience…

It wasn’t an experience as we would expect. What was meant to be a birthday present for my wife , turned up to be a long enough wait until she actually could get the flight, but I do understand that’s nature call, so no pointing to anyone here. Flight day arrived , 11 th October 2025, flight took off from little grandstand airstrip. I do believe that the pilot should be staffed, and not demanding the customer to help inflate/pack/unpack the balloon and also deflate, this should be at the customer choice if wants to take part or not. At the end the customer is paying for the flight experience, not packing/unpacking. Now , the flight experience was only 40 min, compared to what was promised to be 1 hour. Also was mostly scraping the tree tops, and hovering above the farm lands, at not to high altitude so you can have a complete glance of the surroundings. It did climb to 2000 ft but not to long. Overall , the experience wasn’t worth what was paid for, unprofessional staff, and not much seen. Don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this wasn’t a pleasant experience.
