Review Time
I ordered a one time deal. Couldn’t figure out how it works. Had to order a crappy album I didn’t even want. Nine months later I look at my bank statement to see they charged me$39.98 and couldn’t figure out why. Did some research to se3 they billed me the same amount for the last nine months. They never sent an email stating they were billing me, never received records. They won’t refund. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. Won’t respond to emails, text messages, or phone messages. Complete scam. Please stay away from this company!!!!!!!
They robbed me of $117 and refuse to refund me. Charged me 3 times without sending me anything until I emailed them about it, and when I got my curated vinyls, it was like they weren’t curated at all. I specifically wrote in my preferences that I didn’t want anything I didn’t already know, but I haven’t known any of the 6 records they’ve sent me. And the records they sent me aren’t even good. So anyways, don’t give this company your money, they’ll take your money continuously without sending you anything until you notice and then if they decide to send you anything, they’ll send you a bunch of crap you don’t want. VNYL is trash, it’s a scam, don’t give them your money.
The records they show on their advertisements and videos are NOT what you should expect. What you should expect when you open their package is an album from a no name band that very loosely relates to maybe one band you added to your list. They find barely sold albums and LPs from the bottom of the bins and give that to 90% of the people that subscribe. Go to a local record store and get something you want. Help out your community, not this company.
Gifted this for Xmas. Nightmare. They will not issue a refund for their subscription. If you’re gifted this, be sure to cancel after signing up so that you’re not charged again. Following Xmas, sent another gift card. Can’t apply it to my account—have to start a new account/subscription.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER And I mean NEVER use this company. They robbed me of $420 and for someone who barely makes that from a weeks worth of work it beyond screwed me over and caused me so many financial problems. I was given a free subscription but of course you had to put a card number in and after a year was renewed even thought I had tried countless times to cancel my subscription prior to the renewal date. When I tried getting a refund they completely denied me. After many many emails and phone calls I got absolutely no where and never got my $420. So since I was now stuck with this subscription I thought I maybe could just make some money back by getting the vinyls and reselling them. Well I was wrong then again I tried receiving my monthly vinyls that I was supposed to get because I paid $420 when I didn’t even want to and my vinyls never got shipped or delivered to me. This company is a scam and they are thief’s. NEVER use them
Let me preface this by saying that I am incredibly sad to be writing a negative review about this service. I have LOVED the idea of this for years now, and it is regrettable that my experience was so negative. I will do my best to remain objective.I signed up for VNYL as part of a buy one month, get one free promotion. I contacted their customer support number well in advance of my monthly billing period ending, to ensure that I was not billed again after this period had ended. When no one picked up, I left them a voicemail and emailed them to follow up. I was not contacted back, and was still billed for another month. I immediately followed up with their customer support again, both via email and via their phone number. I never received any contact via phone, and only occasionally received contact via email. When I did receive contact, I had to restate the same conversation that I had had (in the same email thread) the last time one of their customer support agents replied to one of my emails. This pattern continued for just under 2 months. Eventually I resorted to direct messaging their social media pages. In fact, while feeling a bit frustrated admittedly, I sent a reply to one of their Instagram stories. In my message, I pointed out how frustrating it was that their story was updated almost daily, but it had been such along process to get a refund for a subscription that I tried to end via their official customer support channels. After sending that particular message, I had my refund in my bank account in less than 48 hours. TL;DR - I was billed improperly, per the rules of their own company cancelation policy, and then had to fight for almost two months to get my money returned to me. If customer support is important to you, I would not recommend this company to you.Separate Issue - One of the records that they sent me as one of their curated sections for my first box was described as being on "Black and White Marbled Vinyl". When I opened it, it was a solid black record with one single spot of white that was less than the size of a quarter. When I contacted them to see if I could have another one sent to me. They contacted me about a week later, and said they were unable to issue a properly colored record to me, as they were unable to guarantee the color of any records in their batch. While I understand that each record in an exclusive batch like that will be unique, when a record is blatantly not what is advertised, it seems a bit ridiculous to not correct the issue (even if it was not the record I hand-picked for that month).
I was given a one month sub as a gift. I requested a specific "vibe" (record) but when my order arrived it didn't include that album. I would have paid for another month but I immediately canceled. Now I have three records I didn't want. Neat.
