No star is more like it!

If I could give less than a star, I would. This company is beyond bad. I canceled after 2 months after my first box came with two of the same record. And I’m still being charged, MONTHS AFTER CANCELING! I called and emailed too many times to count! No response, ever! Do not try this company! Go to your local record store or go online to get a better value and exactly what you want!

I received a 3 month subscription as a gift. I have only received 2 of those and now I was charged 39.99 (they required a cc when I signed up) I have called and left message and tried calling again, which just went to voicemail. I have disputed with my CC company bc of these reviews. VERY SHADY. I will continue to call until I can get a hold of someone. Also, like others have said they do not take into account any of your preferences really.

Too good to be true UNLESS...

Unless you truly believe that any vinyl record is a good vinyl record, then stay away from this company. Why? Despite their claims, they do not really take your music preferences into account. They give you the option to state what you like and don't like and even what you do not want them to send you (in addition to connecting to your spotify & discog accounts). This seems great. However, they sent me albums from genres that I did not say I wanted and were not reflected at all in my spotify/discog accounts. Additionally, they sent me albums that I explicitly said I did NOT want. I emailed them about these errors. They said they would try to do better. It only got worse. I really wanted this to work. I was hopeful so I gave them several chances to get it right... They never did. You've been warned!PS: I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because I did get albums at a cheaper prices than if I had just bought them directly. So, that's something... Too bad they weren't albums that I would ever have actually spent money on.

Very shady business practices

Terrible company. The fact that they won't allow you to cancel your subscription without calling their toll free number is ridiculous. Then when you try to call thei number they refuse to answer and keep sending you to their message machine. I spent 3 hours calling over and over leaving messages before they answered me. I had to threaten to call the authorities in a message for them to call me back. DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP. They have some shady business practices.

No Response No Vinyl

I liked the concept and I decided to subscribe for a year. Plunked down $359 for a full years subscription. Two months later, nothing. No letter, no acknowledgement, no response to my e-mail. Nothing! Looked them up in the BBB site and their rating was F. Don't learn the hard way, avoid them. These people are totally unresponsive.

AVOID VNYL AT ALL COSTS!

I recently signed up for a VNYL subscription to use a friend's referral code and I was hoping I'd at least get a half decent record out of it. Boy, was I wrong!I'd say I have somewhat varied taste in music, liking stuff from 90s pop and modern alternative to rap and classic country. That said, I tend to lean more toward modern country and classic rock, which I made clear in my VNYL profile. I listed numerous artists I love and I believe I gave them a good picture of my preferences. I also linked my Discogs page so they could see what I already own on vinyl to avoid getting something I already have. I explicitly listed the genres and artists I didn't want from them, as they ask you to do when filling out a profile. Despite all that, what did I get? I was sent an album by Rob Zombie. At first, I thought maybe it was a fluke and I thought I'd try to sell/trade the album and move on. Then, I decided to check my profile again because I had forgotten what I put for genres I don't want, and what did I see? The very first genre I listed under things I DON'T want was metal, so I decided to call customer service to see if they could do anything about this. The guy on the phone was somewhat rude and told me that my profile says I like rock, which it does but only because they didn't have a check box for classic rock and they require you to check at least 3 boxes for your favorite genres. He also said that the album isn't considered metal, which is bull crap because if you go to wikipedia and look up the album it's classified as "industrial metal" and "alternative metal." I will grant him that the album is simply classified as rock on Discogs, but are they really going to see that I don't like metal and send me an album from an artist that basically everyone considers metal, and then tell me it's not metal and I'm in the wrong here? Lastly, he said that the album is "more on the pop side." By this point, I wasn't very happy at all because he hadn't even tried to apologize or make things right, but now he was telling me that a Rob Zombie album is pop music? I was born at night, but it certainly wasn't last night! Other than 90s pop, I never even mentioned pop on my profile, so assuming they do classify it as pop, they still missed the mark based on my profile. For anyone reading this and thinking maybe he's right, check out the album Educated Horses by Rob Zombie and tell me if you'd consider that pop or metal. That's the album they sent me.In closing, the guy on the phone said that he could "make a note" on my profile saying I don't want this genre of music in the future, as if I'd ever continue my subscription with them after they gave me crap I didn't want and refused to give me so much as an apology or offer to make it right. I would have been satisfied if they'd said "Send it back to us and we'll give you a refund." I truly don't want this album, but now I guess I'm stuck with it and out $15 until I can sell or trade it.Avoid VNYL at all costs!

DONT DO IT!! THEY ARE GOING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!

I would give them ZERO stars if it were possible!!! Listen to the reviews save your money!!! I tried to call multiple times and sent multiple emails trying to cancel my subscription as I was unsatisfied with my service after getting a crappy vinyl not worth listening to and being charged for multiple vinyls I never received! I ended up having to cancel my credit card to stop service! The phone line goes straight to voicemail and they never return your call. Emails never get responses. There's NO WAY TO CANCEL UNLESS YOU CANCEL YOUR CARD!! It's a scam!!! Do better at treating your customers right!!

Save your money - Don't Subscribe!

I decided to give this a try after seeing ads on my social media with a discounted rate of $15/month. I paid for my order on August 31st and have yet to receive anything or at the very least a tracking number. I reached out to their customer service asking about it and heard back a week later saying that it was on it's way to me. Again, haven't received any notice of it being shipped other than the customer service team telling me over a week ago that it did. Please save your money to put towards actual record stores in your area and support local. This company is a great concept but clearly isn't run well at all, as you can see from the other reviews on this website.
