This company is borderline unethical

This company is borderline unethical. Their website is so poorly designed you can't tell whether or not you have even finished your order because you have to choose "vibes," and it's totally unclear that those vibes are what enable you to place an order. There are no clear steps. Meanwhile their marketing campaign is extensive and their customer support is both not helpful and slow. While I don't believe this is a scam, I will say it does NOT have your best interest at heart, and I look forward to when it will inevitably go out of business, as two people I know have dropped them as well.

Starts off great, then leaves you with a headache.

The service is really cool at first, but then it starts to turn into a bunch of bargain-bin records that even the local store won’t buy off of you. After a few months of getting “meh” boxes, I decided that I wanted to take a break.This is when the fun begins.For one - their membership cancellation policy isn’t transparent at all. They advertise that you can “take a break at any time” but you still get charged regardless of ordering or receiving your “vibes.”After emailing to cancel (you cannot do this without actually speaking to somebody—which is a predatory subscription tactic) I was told that I could only be given a store credit to the tune of $117.I don’t want a store credit, I want my money. But okay. No refunds.I go to use the store credit, fill up my cart with the limited options they have, go to check out and my card on file was AUTOMATICALLY charged as the payment method.There goes another $90.This time I try to call, and am sent to voicemail due to a “high volume of calls.”After calling and leaving voicemails for four business days straight, I finally hear back from them. Originally, they tried to offer me MORE store credit, again saying that they don’t offer refunds.After going back and forth with the guy on the phone, I got one charge refunded and am still hesitantly stuck with my original $117 store credit.Again—they have a total of, like, 6 records that you can actually purchase at any given time. Usually seems like left over pressings or that bargain bin collection.I’ll be hard pressed to spend that store credit, and they don’t allow you to just apply it to a few more “vibes.” It would make total sense to just get a few month’s worth of boxes (I was charged for four months) but instead I can only use the credit in their store.The best part? They still have all of my credit card info and I can’t remove it from my profile.Seems like a lot of people have had this headache, and that’s only confirmed by the fact that their Instagram is commenting limited or turned off.Save yourself the trouble and just go buy a few records at a local place. They’ll appreciate the business more anyways.

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam. I got a 3-month membership as a Christmas gift in December and so far have only received one of my three orders or records. My second shipment was supposed to arrive April 5th, it's now April 15th and I still haven't received. On top of that, I was charged $40 for my third set of records. Horrible customer service and horrible company.

Myvinyl experience

My best friend gave me a vinyl subscription to myvinyl for Christmas. Its a fun surprise to see what they send you and it comes with a handwritten note about why they chose those records. I had a little bit of trouble with one of my orders, so I called them, it took a few tries to get a hold of someone but when I did they were very nice and helpful! Give them a try!

Avoid VNYL Service at this point

This worked pretty well for the first few months. They were always slow to ship, but the albums I got (I typically chose a vibe of something new I didn’t know and they picked the others), we 90% things I enjoy listening to. However, in late Feb/March, something has changed. I placed my order after being charged after my subscription ended. That was my fault as I should have pod attention to when my subscription was ending. I still have not received that order 6 weeks later. I immediately sent a message to cancel and was charged again. They said I didn’t call. Having a message in writing to cancel sure seems good enough but I guess not. Now they have an extra $80 of mine.I have not seen a shipment since the end of Feb, and honestly I doubt they are really still in business. Someone eventually answers the phone, but they are just providing lip service. They claim they have shipped the order and the post office hasn’t scanned it yet, but that isn’t how shipping works. When a label is created by a company, it sends a message with the tracking number to the customer. That means they haven’t shipped anything. I would not use this company. I think they are broke, spent a lot of money etc on branding and didnt have the inventory/artist list to make it. Too bad...I was psyched about the service for a few months.

Disappointed is an understatement

Disappointed is an understatement. I've heard about VNYL for years & have always wanted to try it out & finally got around to testing it out for one month this year. The brand concept is brillant but is executed *terribly.* With 5+ years experience as a business, you would think they'd have it figured out by now. The customer service is truly tragic. I had to contact them on every single platform just to get an answer to a simple question that would take at least 2 days to get a response. You also have to call to cancel your subscription, but their phone line makes it impossible to get in contact with them, hence the sleuth of people complaining about still being billed after they think they've canceled. I luckily wasn't billed for more than I purchased. I complained about this on social media though & they didn't respond, just blocked me, so that's nice professionalism.I ordered a 3-record curated package in January & received "that month's" package TODAY, April 7th. How is this supposed to be a monthly service if it took 4 months to ship...? I asked them every two weeks what the status of my package was & I was always told the same exact thing "it's about to be shipped, we'll keep an extra eye on it just for you!" I don't even know if I would've received a tracking number by the time it was shipped if I weren't so persistent. Now the actual contents of the subscription: 3 records by 3 artists I've never heard of, despite my Spotify & Discogs being linked to my profile, where I actually have a fairly eclectic variety of artists, so clearly nothing was actually "curated for my taste." I'm convinced they're just asking smaller artists to send them their vinyl to "get their name out" since they can't afford getting actual quality records themselves. Which is FINE but then MARKET it as that, then! It's absolutely false advertisement due to this major flaw. I'll never purchase anything from them ever again & strongly urge anyone else to avoid them as well.. it's just NOT worth it. Unfortunately makes me wary of any other vinyl subscription service now as well. Thanks, guys!

These people are garbage

These people are garbage. Been waiting for over a month for my first order and still nothing and every time I call it get different excuses as to why it hasn't been shipped yet. They will just take your money and your get nothing. Horrible service. Don't waste your time!

I received the "gift" of vnyl

I received the "gift" of vnyl. Upon using the 3 month subscription voucher, you are required to enter your credit card information and have no option than to select "auto-renewal". But don't worry, you can just cancel that, right? Not that simple... You cannot cancel your subscription online. I emailed them attempting to cancel. A response told me I had to call their company to cancel. OK - I called the number multiple times with no answer. You are required to leave a message. All of this time naturally ended in them charging me an additional month of my auto-renewal I spent weeks trying to cancel. All of this pain just to accept a X-mas gift. Do NOT recommend this company as they are SCAM artists.

This company is a scam and does not actually curate anything for you. I specifically asked them not to send my certain genres and they ignored requests. They would not refund me after charging me for the next month BEFORE i had even claimed my current month.

Vnyl is a bad subscription service

Vnyl is a bad subscription service. They make it very difficult to cancel. You can't do it online, you have to call a phone number. (877) 777-6380. When you call the number to cancel they ask you to leave a message. How effective is that? In the mean time I've been charged for an extra month. These dudes are Slimy. The actual service (I was gifted 3 months, 3 records) was okay. It seemed like a lot of the stuff was well-known bands-earlier records and new indie artists. For $40 bucks a month I think I could probably get the same selection (or better) without having someone tell me what they think I'll like. The website was difficult to navigate and confusing.
