Review Time
They are fraudulent and have the worst customer service ever. We booked a flight and had to change a date. For that they sent a mail that we needed to pay an extra 20k Naira within a 20 minutes window. Such a time-sensitive email should have been on a call or text. Anyway, we made payments exactly 20 mins and they did not confirm payment until another 40 mins, saying time had elapse and we have to pay another 45k. We asked for a refund and they said it would take 4-6 weeks and we may not get a full refund. Back to a corner, we called and asked to make payment on the spot. We did and asked them to confirm but the customer service said they will send our confirmation email. They never did and we called after a while. Then they said time had elapsed again and we needed to pay extra. It was at this point we went berserk and only after a few minutes of madness display did they approve our flight change. Note that this change would have cost us only about 5k if we had booked directly from the airline.

When I paid, I still had the normal flight price I was supposed to pay and when I got email notification, it says my total would be £707 instead of £657 or thereabouts.
I chatted them, they transferred me to one Kalabash. The interesting part is, I couldn't find anywhere it says interest would be paid on PSS on the website. I was also told the amount is locked, even if I pay the balance instantly, the interest cannot be reduced nor removed.
Another interesting thing is, they can extend the time to make the repayment for you but they won't reduce it.
My advice, avoid Wakanow and Kalabash or whatever they call themselves. Book directly on the airlines' website.
They just want to make money, they don't care about you.

If you hear anything about a company called Wakanow, I strongly advise you to run and never look back. I do not leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this company Called Wakanow. I paid for a ticket using my Klarna account, which is registered in my name and is designed to be secure for both parties. A few days later, I was asked to provide a selfie along with my passport, which I submitted as requested. I was then informed that my payment had been flagged by their system.Given their past reviews, I am concerned that they may be attempting to cancel my ticket in order to impose additional charges which I’m not going to pay. For your own peace of mind don’t fall for their trick.

I booked a flight, was told no seats were available, and then waited over three days for a refund with no communication. It was stressful and I feared the worst.But after I reached out following my previous review, they responded quickly and refunded me in full without any hassle. That counts for something.Every company can have hiccups — what matters is how they handle them. They could definitely improve their response times and communication, but ultimately they did the right thing. I'm willing to give them another chance in the future, with a bit more caution.Hopefully they use this as a learning experience to serve their customers better.
Unresolved refund issue. I reached out to Wakanow NG’s contact centre after not receiving my full refund, and since then, I’ve been completely ignored. I paid almost 730k for a trip but only 650k is being processed for refund. While I understand that service charges may be non-refundable, other add-ons should have been included. I was told the refund had been processed, but I haven’t received a single kobo since then. The screenshot sent to me even showed the status as “pending.” I pointed this out, and that was the last I heard from them. Just and update to my review below: I got my refund on Feb 25 following the review submitted on Feb 22.However, it is quite annoying that it took me going public through a negative review of Wakanow to get this resolved. That being said, big thank you to “Peter A” from Wakanow for acting promptly . Not only did you email or message, you also called and left messages - Weldone Peter Regards,Bie PetersideThe airline operator cancelled the flight and I notified Wakanow and requested a refund. Wakanow ceased communicating even after the airline confirmed to me (with Wakanow in copy of the email) that they refunded Wakanow since December 30, 2025. I’ve sent the airlines email confirmation to Wakanow customer service via info@wakanow dot com and support@wakanow dot com their staff responsible for airlines refund and even their management team (mails delivered) and yet they all ignored my mail - no response till date. Fun fact, to test their email are still operational, I sent a message seeking for help to pay for booking via another email address of mine to info@wakanow dot com and they’ve responded not once but thrice - this confirms they are clearly ignoring my mails requesting for my refund. Wakanow is simply fraudulent - so business at your own peril. This firm should not be allowed to operate anymore. ThanksBDP
This is my second review, the first one was on 6th January 2026, Wakanow made me pay for a flight twice, I booked the first one they said something was wrong I will get back my money in the evening, then only one seat was left in this flight, I booked another, since then till now I got back my refund on 17th of February with -100,000 naira deducted, this is robbery and this company should not be allowed to operate in a country like Nigeria, how do you steal 100,000 from a common man
Had a very unpleasant experience with the staff who attended to us this morning. I got the @wakanow Travels at Ikate this morning quite early and had to wait in the car for the office to resume. After the long wait , we walked in and met a very unfriendly and hostile lady. Who didn’t have any courtesy. We eventually left without making any bookings because her demeanor was very discouraging and decided to book with another agent.
