I purchased three oversized inflatable ornaments that unfortunately didn't serve their intended purpose. Within just a week, well within the 30-day return policy, I reached out to initiate a return and get a refund, but received no response. Now that more than 30 days have passed, the website indicates that the items can't be returned. I'm really hoping my bank can assist, as £78 is a significant amount to lose on items I cannot use.
A few years back, I bought a stunning 7-foot flocked tree with integrated lights, and it quickly became my pride and joy. However, this season brought a challenge—the lights in the upper third of the tree stopped working. When I reached out to the support team for assistance, I was disappointed to learn that the parts weren't guaranteed, and they recommended wrapping additional lights around the top or purchasing a new tree since it was out of warranty. This situation was particularly difficult for me as I had saved carefully to purchase this dream tree, which is not easily attainable for families on a tight budget. It's disheartening to think that the built-in lights may not have been the best investment. Additionally, the flocking seems to deteriorate over time, losing its original beauty. Despite the beautiful visuals, my experience has resulted in a partially functioning tree that has lost its appeal.
This review focuses on aftercare. About 3 to 4 years ago, I bought a 7ft, flocked, pre-lit tree that I adored and took great care of. However, this year, when setting it up, the lights on the top third of the tree wouldn’t illuminate. I reached out to the support team for help, considering the tree was still relatively new. To my surprise, I was informed that none of the components come with a guarantee. I was advised to wrap a light set around just the top and was told that since it’s out of warranty, they couldn’t provide further assistance. I felt disheartened, especially given how long I saved to purchase this tree, which I believed to be a luxury. For those with limited income, such purchases require careful planning; they can't just be discarded. Now, I’m left with a partially functioning tree that has lost its charm for me. While the images may appear lovely, I would caution others to consider whether the built-in lights are truly worth the investment. My answer is no. Additionally, the flocking has started to look grey and dirty.
I am quite disappointed to see the choice of delivery service. Had I known, I would have refrained from placing an order and I won't be ordering again. Delivery was repeatedly delayed, and when it finally arrived, it was sent to the wrong location, requiring a search to retrieve it. The service provided was shockingly inadequate. This experience has led to the loss of a previously loyal customer.
It seems that the company may be growing too large, as their customer focus appears to have diminished. I received an item in a 5ft box that was delivered severely damaged, and I had to go to the post office myself to return it, as it was the only way to obtain a refund. They refused to arrange a pickup due to their return policy. Many well-managed retailers typically make exceptions for items damaged upon arrival, often providing collection services or at least a prepaid return option.
This company was once reliable, but now the quality of products and customer service has fallen short. They promote items that don't match what you actually receive, like timers and multiple light modes on garlands that come with basic on/off switches. They continue to advertise these misleading products. I've lost track of the emails I've sent. It's best to steer clear of this company and invest a bit more with a seller that truly values your hard-earned money.
If I could rate lower, I definitely would. I placed an order for a tree on December 3rd and opted for next working day delivery. As of the 8th, I still have not received the tree, nor any dispatch information from the delivery service. The seller claims it's an issue with the delivery service due to significant delays and is unwilling to issue a full refund until the tree arrives. They expect me to 'refuse delivery,' after which it will supposedly be sent back to them, and only then will they process my refund. The tracking updates are nonexistent, and it seems the package is lost in the system. Despite explaining this to the seller, they continue to refuse a refund until the tree is returned. This is unacceptable service and incredibly unfair. I'm now £200 out of pocket, with no tree and no assurance that it will ever arrive. I plan to escalate this matter to the ombudsman to recover my funds. AVOID ORDERING FROM THEM!
I ordered a wreath from a retailer, but it never arrived. The company claims it was delivered, yet their 'proof' consisted of an outdated Google Maps image of my home from 2020, not an actual delivery photo. Even after confirming that the other items from my order were delivered separately, they still insist on a police crime reference number before processing a refund. This is completely unreasonable. According to consumer rights regulations, the retailer is accountable for ensuring delivery, not the customer. Asking me to report a crime for an item I never received is both unfair and illegal. I've spent too much time communicating with their support team, only to encounter shifting excuses and a lack of accountability. I am now taking this matter to the relevant authorities. I recommend steering clear of this company if you prioritize honesty and effective customer service.
The customer service is incredibly ineffective and shows no empathy towards customers. After multiple messages and proof provided that the purchased product was never delivered, they still haven't resolved the issue. It seems they might struggle to understand English. The evidence sent clearly states 'delivery attempt.' This experience is frustrating, and I will never use this service again.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
We have been waiting a week for a replacement Christmas tree, and the company has done nothing but give us misleading and incorrect information.
For more than 6 days, we were repeatedly told that our replacement tree “had been dispatched” and that the courier was responsible for the delay. But when we contacted Parcelforce directly, they clearly stated that they NEVER received the parcel.
So the company simply lied to us for a week.
This has caused enormous stress, wasted work days, constant waiting for a delivery that was never even sent, and hours of pointless back-and-forth messages.
And now the situation has become even worse:
The support chat suddenly disappeared, and the company has been completely ignoring us for more than 24 hours. We requested proof of dispatch, and they just vanished.
This behaviour is shocking, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable — especially during the holiday season. We are left without the product, without any explanation, and without proper customer support
I expect an immediate response and proper compensation. This level of service is disgraceful.
