Paul and his team at Wiltshire Tyres Chippenham just delivered excellent service, yet again.The day before we are due to take the car on the ferry to France, we noticed a whining sound. Suspecting the power-steering I took the car in first thing on Monday without a booking and Paul confirmed it was very likely to be the power-steering pump. He then drove the car in to their workshop, they found a small leak and to get me on the road, temporarily fixed for the trip, topped up the fluid and showed me where to keep topping it up and what fluid to buy for the journey.What a great service and we hope Paul's leg gets better!
I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent MOT at this garage. Just FYI: I have given them enough time to do something about it, trying to get in touch via emails - no response...I delivered my car in perfect condition, but when I collected it, I found that my bonnet does not shut anymore. Despite this, my car passed the MOT and was returned to me in an unsafe condition. If I had driven on the motorway, this could have resulted in a serious accident.On my way home from the garage - after they PASSED the MOT, a warning light indicated that my bonnet was open. Assuming it had been left unlatched, I stopped to close it but found that it would not shut properly. I contacted the reception and was advised to return to the garage.Upon my return, the mechanic who conducted the MOT stated, "My job was to open the bonnet and close it, and I did just that, and it closed for me perfectly fine" and mentioned he didn't have time to address the issue further. When I spoke to Paul at the reception, he claimed the damage was coincidental and not the garage’s responsibility. I was then quoted a high repair cost of £377, which was described to me as a discounted price. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the quote, he suggested he could charge the full price if I preferred. - RUDE!I left the garage with a damaged bonnet catch and cable (according to description they gave me, after they had a little look in the parking lot), despite having passed the MOT, which I believe should render the vehicle unroadworthy. Later, I spoke with Kieran on the phone, who reiterated the claim of coincidence, which seemed rehearsed.I have contacted the DVSA to report this incident, as I believe the garage is liable for the damage as THEY caused it. I brought my car to them in good working order and left with significant damage that compromises its safety.Despite the fact that they quoted me a rather high price of £377 to rectify an issue that they had caused, I sought a second opinion from another garage, which was able to resolve the problem for a significantly lower cost.
Mobile fitter, Jake, went above and beyond. Thank-you Wiltshire Tyres. Due to a family emergency they could not fit on the original date. However the Wilthshire Tyre team prioritised the fitment - before 8am the next day. Mobile tyre fitting - couldn’t have hoped for a better service. Great experience from start to finish, easy to navigate website, superb communication all the way along the process, the fitter was an absolute legend, the tyre was replaced in hardly any time at all and the price was superb, best value around. I don’t want another flat, but if I get one I won’t panic because these guys are absolutely superb at what they do, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thank you very much. Would give 10 stars if I could.
Wouldn’t go anywhere else. I have used Wiltshire Tyres Melksham for over 4 years and have never had any issues, they’ve always looked after me and been honest and done whatever they could to help. I have experience using both their Melksham garage and their mobile tyre fitting service.I have always found them fairly priced, quick to help and customer friendly.As a woman I always have felt vulnerable when it comes to having any work on my car and these guys make me feel very comfortable and confident in leaving my car with them.
Royal Wootton Bassett branch, went in last minute as the company I normally go for couldn't fit me in after telling me to come back . Drove into Wiltshire tyres and it was no trouble at all friendly staff, very efficient and top job from Karl . Will be back (from Mr Smith)
I was told I had 2 nails in my Tyre, popped into my local branch, was greeted and looked after from start to finish, I was even offered a chocolate :) fixed my Tyre on the spot, great service from start to finish - Kate and Anthony F, you are superstars :)
The Wootton Bassett branch of wilts tyres have always been incredibly competent, reliable & reasonably priced. I rely on my Van for work and on more than a few occasions they’ve squeezed in short notice repairs and maintenance for me between my jobs. Highly recommended!
The whole team at the Royal Wootton Bassett branch have been fantastic! Had my MOT, service and a few other things done there and every time they have been brilliant! Don’t take too long with anything either all done in a few hours or less. Have been too other garages in the past and they have taken days and been so pricey but these guys have got everything spot on. Couldn’t thank them anymore and the lovely woman on reception is always a joy when you go in! Thankyou once again
