Review Time
This is a massive corporation that shifts its business costs onto customers. This isn't a small operation but a clear example of corporate greed. They have billed me beyond the agreed municipal rate for two consecutive billing cycles and have refused to correct it or respond to my inquiries.
Since the acquisition, many customers are dissatisfied with the reduced service quality. They missed a scheduled pickup at my home and stated they would not make it up. If I put out extra garbage, they would impose additional charges. I plan to switch providers in 2026.
We arranged for a special pickup for bags of leaves that regular collectors refused to take. We were quoted $40 for six lightweight bags. However, we later received a bill for $127, more than triple the original quote, with no explanation or prior warning.
After the acquisition, service quality has significantly declined. They frequently miss our trash and recycling pickups. I've observed their trucks bypassing our home. Additionally, they raised our rates substantially and have sent us late payment notices despite timely payments. Customer service is hard to reach, often rude, and unhelpful. We've spent hours trying to confirm our cancellation, only to find an unexpected charge for can pickup.
They engage in deceptive practices, manipulating waste bins to impose overfilling charges. While they claim it’s accidental, there are multiple videos of their drivers doing this. I’ve been informed that they receive incentives for each overfilling charge.
My experience over the past few weeks has been very disappointing. They changed our collection day without notice, and on one occasion, they hardly emptied our trash. They skipped service due to weather while competitors managed to collect nearby. Chat support was unhelpful and showed no empathy, while billing support was much better, offering a credit for the issues. It's unfortunate that chat representatives lacked the ability to resolve problems, which led to a frustrating experience overall.
After over a decade as a business customer, I learned that negotiating better prices with them raises ethical questions. My group of businesses canceled our contracts despite receiving a significant discount when they learned of our intent to leave. Our final invoice included a $100 increase due to inflated costs or perhaps because we subsidized better rates for other customers. Their contracts heavily favor them, and my experience with customer service has been unprofessional. They lost accreditation due to numerous complaints.
Recycling was hastily picked up, leaving some empty boxes around. They just could not go the extra mile and pick up the trash they created. Waste management peeps are just plain old lazy and inconsiderate. Regularly, after my trash is picked up, I notice that there is still a bag of trash in the bin. Too lazy to make sure it is all dumped. Too lazy to use the bin lifter. Really?!!!
