Review Time
We have been wanting to leave this company for 10 months. We were not aware its a rolling contract and if you don’t send written notice 30days before end of contract you are tied in for 12monthsWe wanted to leave because of continued missed pickups. Last month was the last straw so I cancelled my DD. To be clear if there is a missed pick up you dont get credited. Despite notice given, being up to date with payments we have a £40 charge on the account because I cancelled the DD. Do now 2 weeks have passed, no collections and overflowing waste outside the buns and in our property. Waste managed refuse to drop the £40 charge or collect the overflowing waste. Dont sign anything with this company
Their service is fine but they'll find any reason to screw you out of extra money in for infractions they conveniently find. Plastic bag in the recycle bin 14 dollar charge. Your yard waste bin had something sticking out of it another 14 dollars. It's a rip off, I'm sick of utilities ripping us off.
Invoices were almost never the agreed upon price. Billing was often 35% higher than what was promised. When I canceled, they offered to pick up the can from the house and then billed me another 100.00. There is no accountability and no real civility with these folks.
On September 23, 2025 Tuesday, Waste Management failed to pick up my garbage for the second time in two weeks. They use to have a place on their app to report a missed pick up but they have removed it. I guess they got tired of seeing their customer complaints. I don't know what's going on but their service has degraded in the last two weeks. They say not to report a missed pickup until after the next business day in case they come by and pick up the garbage. They NEVER do! They never give a reason for not picking up my garbage.
This company is absolutely horrible! I'm a small business owner. This company kept raising their rates on me, so I went and found a company that charged a lot less for the same service. When I called to cancel my service, I spoke to Roberto. He told me he would have to put my account on hold for 60 days before they could cancel my account, because I didn't give them the proper notice. However, he told that I would not be charged while the account was on hold. They just needed to treat it like I was going on vacation. They picked up the trash bin 2 1/2 months later and then billed me. I spoke to several people on the phone to try to get the invoice removed as I was told I wouldn't be charged. Not only would they not take the charge off my account(that I wasn't supposed to get in the first place)they then threaten to send the bill to a collection agency. I don't recommend this company to anyone. And I personally will never use them again. BTW, I went ahead and paid the bill so as not to ruin my companies reputation.
Awful company would not recommend anyone to go with them as you can see by the reviews!!! Get you into a contract hassle you and when you end up going in the contract they over charge you!!! And lie and also do not even pick up your sharps or your bins just a big scam then try to charge you when you want to get out of contract because they can’t even do there jobs
I made 3 reasonable attempts to cancel a contract that ended in 2019. I was told the contract renewed monthly since we did not cancel. I was advised to send a letter, certified return receipt to cancel, but would still be obligated to pay $239 per month for 90 days, as that is the term for cancellation. I asked to put the service on hold, while waiting for the 90 day period. I was advised I would need to pay for the receptacle of $47 per month, but 3 separate documents were sent through DocuSign and all included a contract term extending the contract out for another 3 years, or 1 year to put the service on hold, while waiting for the termination of the "contract". Absolutely deceitful business practices.
WORST COMPANY EVER. I pay monthly for 2 containers, didnt have a problem at first but then out of the blue they quit picking yp my garbage and are trying to charge me a resume service fee when they are the ones that quit providing service. They picked it up agger I complained once, but now for the last three weeks they have no picked up my garbage! And have excuse that the cans are over loaded. When the cans are completely closed ! And only half full. One time they even tried telling me it was over loaded because the wind had blown my can open. Like they expect me to stand outside and gold the lid closed on windy days.
If I could leave a negative review I would. I stopped using Waste Management because of their terrible customer service. I recently moved into a new house. And there were bins in front from waste management. I use a different trash company, so my bins are also there..They were supposed to pick up their bins yesterday. And they didn't, they showed up today and dumped all of the trash from the old bins into my brand new trash cans with no bags. No, nothing I went outside and told him. That's not my trash. It was here before and he continued to dump it anyway. Both the trash and the recycle into the same bin.I called their customer service line, and the lady hung up on me. The representative was totally unbothered and didn't seem to care it all.. There's nothing they can do.
I have called numerous times about the truck driver picking up the garbage dumping my recycling in with the garbage. I'm so tired of them doing this. I pay for two containers so they are actually ripping me off by throwing it all together. I thought recycling was important for our environment but apparently not with this company. I will be dropping them.
