You are tricked into signing up for a membership of $63.17 monthly. You are sent nothing for this service. It is a total scam. Also, try contacting them via their phone number. You can’t talk to a human. They avoid responding to any communication!!! Total scam!! Steer clear of this company!!! Please read just a few of the reviews on Trustpilot before purchasing. Their rating is 2.5. That is not an accurate rating because it should be 0000000000000. Crappy company!! They are a bunch of sheisters!!!! Don’t waste your money!!!
I thought insight and personal growth sound good, so I did their quiz. It has inspirational messages in it, but then you see the results. The results are inaccurate and do not describe me or the answers I gave, but the results could be an effective pressured marketing tactic especially for those with self-esteem issues. I do a lot of self-reflection it is not that I do not know myself. They say you cannot do it on your own, but you can or you can find better resources. I fail to see how it is backed by scientific research. The unconscious is not easy to study. Also, it was a lot of vague inaccurate statements. I did not sign up because for $60/ month there are way better options. Some coaches and therapists charge that per session, and would give personalized feedback even only doing a session a month would be better use of your money. Another option could be borrowing self-help books from the library or buying them and for $60/ month that could be a few books. I can see why Work with Shadow’s Trustpilot rating is so low.
I was overcharged 126.97 CAD despite only being on the 31.09 CAD monthly plan and making no changes to my account. This unexpected charge is unacceptable, and I’ve now canceled my subscription. I was expecting a refund for the mistake but my emails were unanswered. I have to directly deal with my credit card provider.
This company are awful. They lead you in but the help you get is merely a web page with tiny writing. It goes on and on with the same old stuff you’ve read before! A book would be better and much cheaper! I was really disappointed and found these reviews, wish I’d come here sooner! I wrote to them to cancel my monthly subscription (2 days ago) but no reply, typical of these people. There is no way to cancel online. I’ve just tried to log in but it won’t accept my password. I’ve tried a reset but that doesn’t work either! Please avoid, it’s a badly run scam!
I gave Work with Shadow four stars because I've only just started. So far my experience has been engaging. I like that it's 1) at my own pace, 2) I can do the journaling in the app rather than on my own-a plus for me because I feel like I can't just read the material and mindlessly finish the lesson, intending to maybe, some time, actually write out my thoughts/answers and then never get around to it. I'm also somewhat grateful that I don't get notifications that I have a new lesson to do, but then, maybe having a notification or reminder could be helpful? One thing that I don't understand is when and which of the exercises I should be doing, or did I miss the explanation for that? Anyway, I really do like Work with Shadow. I'm looking forward to the journey.
