Order came in timely. Pieces all look strong and well made. It took along tome to actually install the swing set and there was a minor issue. Customer service was contacted and they immediately took care of the issue. Wonderfully done.
I have placed two orders in the past 6 months, I find this company fraudulent in making sure either order was delivered to my address. I work from home, and I have not had either order# 121098 Sept 25,2022 both oders placed were over $200.00. I need sun shade from the heat. I am not impressed with the customer service, nor getting billed for 2 orders not received. Do not use Back Yard City!!!
Wow. I cannot recommend enough going elsewhere. This is the least respectable business I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Seriously. Don't do it. There are dozens of retailers online that offer the same products as these guys, and you'll receive what I did not here: service, communication, follow up, and respect and appreciation for your business.Only after I sent a couple emails (their voicemail box is full and has been for well over a week...), the last of which was 13days after my order, when I suggested they please reply or I'd take my business elsewhere, did they charge my credit card and begin shipping my order. No response. No tracking information. No appreciation for the amount of money - hard to come by money during the covid outbreak - that we spent there. Just read receipts on the emails I'd sent.They don't care.They won't care about you.They won't care about your concern for their disinterest in communication.They certainly won't care about providing order updates or tracking information.They definitely want your money, though. That, they care about.Don't trust them. Don't patronize them, and spare yourself a completely miserable experience. I suspect if you live close enough to the actual retail location, and can confront them in person for their palpable disdain for the people who pay their bills, you may receive some type of customer service, but I'd not hold my breath. Look at all the online reviews of this company...and judge for yourself.
They don't need or want additional business. I sent them a request for quotation for a custom spa cover. When I followed up on the non-response, they couldn't locate the first one. They never acknowledged receipt of the second one (the resend) and were very dismissive when I suggested they should just go ahead and drop my request.
I ordered a pool and it came damaged inside the box. I ordered a whole package and it also was missing the ladder that I still do not have and paid for. It also didnt ship with liner. I wasnt happy and asked for a return. I have had this pool in my garage fir a month now. I call and no answer. I emailed over 10 times with no answer or reply. I have the emails to prove it and will send them to anyone that wants them. This is a fradulant business and they dont stand by their products.
Just built their Trailblazer fort & swing set. It's built like a tank! Directions were clear, material list (what lumber to buy) was clear, and the one time I contacted customer service they were responsive and solved my problem right away. The same type of set from a nearby 'playground store' would easily be 2x the price. Great kit and great company.
I'm trying to return an item. No one picks up the phone, the fax wont go thru and no one responds to email. My guess is this is a one man company using ecommerce and nothing else. No support so if you buy something and there is a problem, hard, very hard to resolve or return. Suggest use another company for your purchases.
OK...where to begin...Let's start with the honest truth that I am high maintenance. I want the million dollar look but I don't like to pay a high/retail price for anything. --I am one of those people that takes the $10 Kohl's coupon that comes in the mail and goes to Kohl's, twirls over to the 80% off clearance rack, picks up a few $3-$4 items and drives home with a bag of free stuff :) -- So, when my kids' Rainbow Playscape Castle needed a new tarp, I set out to find a top quality tarp for the lowest possible price. BackyardCity.com beat the next lowest competitor by $20. I ordered the tarp on May 21 and it arrived in a small box on the morning of June 7th. I was surprised how efficiently it was packed. I unpacked right away and put it up. The wrinkles smoothed out immediately. The quality was incredible! Also, this tarp (I ordered an 88" log by 60" wide tarp) had 5 snaps whereas the original rainbow playscape tarp had only 4 snaps. It probably took me 30 minutes to put it up. I love it! looks perfect! I can't say enough good things about this company and the quality of their product...highly recommend!
