Joined Zopa one month ago via the moneysavingexpert recommendation for market leading interest rates. Had reason to engage with customer services today after four money transfers being sent to the wrong account. Raised this issue via live chat and it has taken over an hour, four agents and two chatbots to get it escalated to the appropriate technical team. Initial responses showed no efforts to understand or escalate the issue, just rectify and move the money to the intended location. It's a UK bank that appears to have outsourced customer services and seeing how ill-effective this is has undermined my confidence in keeping any volume of money in the account. The app is elementry, often missing features it states are there and I feel is not worth the risk for an extra margin of savings interest vs big name banks.
WOW! How have I only just discovered ZOPA ! I’ve downloaded the App. Set up a savings account. Been approved for a loan ! All in less than 12 hours. Incredible . Just one confirmatory phone call from Aisha , who was so lovely ☺️ Half an hour later , the money is in my account! I cannot recommend this bank highly enough. This is the future of fair and transparent banking ! 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My experience with Zopa was easy, fast & reliable. Immediately I was approved, minutes I got access to the funds. Zopa is doing excellent and the mobile app is customer friendly. I find it really easy connecting to customer support and you can define how much monthly payment you can afford. They are always willing to help!
Has always had competitive savings rates. The new bank account presently has excellent savings rates for both regular savings and instant access although some of this is a limited bonus rate for a year. The app is user friendly and easy to navigate. I have not had to contact customer service yet. So far, despite the newness of the bank, I am satisfied and have not experienced any untoward issues.
Nasty letter from HMRC yesterday saying that I haven't paid enough income tax. Turns out, Zopa have incorrectly reported my interest from my ISA as taxable interest.Zopa were aware of the issue, affecting (I gather) many or all of their ISA holders. They have already submitted amended reports to HMRC but they didn't feel like sending out an email informing me of all this to save me the bother.There's two hours I won't get back.
