Made a number of payments in one go on my account this morning as tidying up payees and their details (as you can’t edit details, you have to delete the original payee and set them up again). With new payees, I always transfer £1 first to ensure I have the correct details - this resulted in my account being restricted. As I’m waiting to go out Christmas shopping, with no idea of when it will be unrestricted, I phoned customer service. After 25 mins some to an operator who said she’d transfer me to the relevant team - however, after a few minutes she came back to say they were unavailable and I would get a call back. So I tried live chat. The message said I would have a 5 min or more wait. After a while I got a message to say hello I’m xxxx and nothing else. I wrote back a couple of times to check if there was anyone still there and got a terse message saying the wait time was 5 mins and to stop messaging (I thought once a person messaged, I was nearly there - sadly not). Then a further message to say I had to telephone Zopa.
I understand it’s a busy time and the bank are on the lookout for scammers but their response has been appalling - they clearly don’t have enough staff. I’m now left needing to go shopping with no access to my money. To say I’m unimpressed just doesn’t cover it!!

Impressive Range of Services!

The company continues to expand its offerings, moving from credit cards to banking and now loans at an excellent fixed rate APR! I recently secured a loan over three years with a competitive rate, which is especially beneficial given the current inflation fluctuations. The application process through their app was straightforward, and the funds were transferred to my bank account within minutes! The monthly repayments are very manageable. Additionally, the app features a separate account that tracks what I owe and when payments are due, plus it allows for extra payments at any time to reduce the total amount faster! I truly have no complaints about this experience! A big thumbs up to the company, and I highly recommend their services :) 10/10

I'm really satisfied with the setup process. It's simple to add funds just by requesting from another bank. The 4.75% interest rate with immediate access and no penalties is fantastic. Overall, I'm very happy.

Unpleasant communication from the tax authority regarding income tax

I received an unpleasant letter from the tax authority indicating that I haven't paid sufficient income tax. It appears that the service has incorrectly reported the interest from my savings account as taxable income. The company was aware of this issue, which seems to have affected many, if not all, of their account holders. While they have submitted corrected reports to the tax authority, they chose not to send an email to inform me about the situation, which would have saved me some trouble. That's two hours of my time I won't get back.

Stay away from this provider; they are not a legitimate bank and seem intent on taking advantage of customers. I would feel embarrassed representing this company. If you seek a compassionate bank that understands individual needs, opt for a reputable high street bank instead. This service lacks competence and may mismanage your funds. Additionally, they may remove negative reviews on platforms like Trustpilot to protect their reputation.
