I’m surprised reading all of the negative reviews of this company. I recently had a claim because of medical needs in Malaysia. Admittedly I was dubious as to the end result thinking they may try to avoid paying my medical bills even though I had sent through many pages listing what I had been charged in the hospital. To say I was amazed at the end result is an understatement as the amount claimed (minus the excess) was paid in less than 48 hours. Communication with them was professional and pleasant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and also use again.
Two weeks into our month-long European holiday, I had to have an emergency dental treatment, which was carried out by an experienced dentist who provided the invoice confirming and I quote "emergency work carried out to relieve the pain". The invoice was also barcoded by their government department proving the authenticity of the invoice. When the claim was lodged, we were requested to provide more information which we did, then they finally came back and stated on their 60+ page policy it states that more comprehensive information is needed otherwise the claim will be rejected.This is a typical and disgusting excuse from an insurance company who are more than happy to take your money then try to reject your claim on a technicality.I will be lodging a complaint with ACCC. Save your money and never use this incompetent company.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. We booked travel insurance based off what we thought were good reviews - on reading through many of these people did not make claims. Just liked how easy to purchase a policy. Yes this is easy - but my god let’s hope you don’t need to claim ! We had comprehensive insurance for our overseas trip. Sadly we had an iPad and I-watch that was in our hand luggage break, and be rendered irreparable ( we think whilst on a seaplane) They will only pay $ 5 !!!They insisted on an insurance report ( costing nearly $200) . Showing our items could not be repaired. ( which we paid for and submitted) Asked for detailed ( excessive) documents including itinerary’s , receipts, statements of reported loss/damage even asked us to submit details of our bank accounts with statements. All supplied. Once lodged asked for ‘ more details of what happened’ more minute details …and again was submitted. Then !!! Your claim has been assessed - we will pay $5Letter Advised iPads are apparently not covered and nor is your insurance report ( we can request what’s reasonable to assess a claim we will not be approving ) less your $200 excess. We now need to pay nearly $700 for a replacement iPad / and over $ 1000 for a replacement watch after already paying the insurance report…..($175) Their claim approved ( after depreciation) $ 5 ! !!!Never again will we use this company - we will make a complaint to the ombudsman.Thank god this wasn’t a medical claim - stay clear !Go with a reputable company.
Nothing but a scam company!!! DO NOT PURCHASE AN INSURANCE WITH THEM!!! my luggage was lost and after found ( they are shipping it back to me) and they have not cover me at all for the days I have been with no bag, poor customer service, requested to talk with a manager but noone contacted me. I had clear proof that my bag was been shipped to me from America and clearly was lost for a week and they denied the claim! Please make sure they dont scam you!
