It's great that you can hire your own contractor to address an issue rather than be forced to use AFC Home Club contractors. It's easy to upload claim documents after the repair. My only complaint is that a sizable HVAC repair claim was denied because the unit is supposedly under the manufacturer's warranty.
I would suggest NOT playing the auto-renew card on their policy. This is something I never signed up for and they just arbitrarily did it. When they sent me a notice that they intended to auto-renew, I even sent a message specifically stating to not auto renew my policy.I will not use AFC in the future and they are lucky that I am not going to dispute the claim with my bank. On top of that, they never completed their "electronic check" process for a claim several months ago; I never received the check.
