Airbnb.ca chargers more than Airbnb.com for same property.

If you search for the exact same home in Airbnb.com vs Airbnb.ca, it is cheaper on Airbnb.com even if you account for the exchange rate. I found a property in Paris ON that on the US Airbnb site it is $300CAD less than on the Airbnb.ca Canadian site.

Customer service is abhorrent

Something went wrong with my booking while I was travelling in France. The team proceeded to refer me to a different company who wasted my time of about a month or two month just to say no they were not gonna give me whatsoever type of refund. Even though my girlfriend was hurt off because of the poor conditions of the apartment that we rented.

Review cancellation policy

Booked online for month stay at house while I figure more permanent residence as am moving from Canada to USA. My working VISA took longer than expected and went from moving check in date to a week out then requested another week but declined. Canceled check in 4 days before check in without knowing cancellation policy and all funds paid upfront not returned. Can understand paying cancellation fee and/or being refunded with credit even but not one dollar returned. Host says following strict airbnb policy and airbnb says following host cancellation policy. I get is not hotel chain but do they withhold funds when cancel 4 days before check in ?

They accept fraudulent bookings

I would give them a negative star if I could. They do nothing to help people who have had credit cards fraudulently charged. Their customer service team have a standard response of not refunding charges or cancelling a booking that has been fraudulently obtained. They just say it appears your card was used by a friend or family member. I will never use Airbnb and will always advise people to stay away from this dishonest company.

Place: "Hosted by Rahul", please be aware that he records you 24/7 , he would not disclosed what he does with the recordings as there are several "security" cameras, he would not say how many either.

DON'T USE AIRBNB!!!!!!!

We used Airbnb for several trips because of the ease of use. Bad Idea!! A host accused of breaking their vacuum (believe it or not, we don't vacuum on vacation). Despite zero evidence provided by the host, we were charged for half of the replacement cost of the vacuum. We will NEVER us these crooks again and are happy to share our experience until the end of time to ensure others aren't taken advantage of by this awful, dishonest company.

Misleading Listing, Unlivable Conditions — Airbnb A53912150 Ignored Safety Concerns - Case ID

I booked an Airbnb in Toronto that was completely misrepresented. The listing failed to disclose constant construction noise across the street, making it impossible to sleep or work. Several amenities listed either didn’t exist or didn’t work — the kitchen exhaust fan was broken, thermostat malfunctioned, and basic hygiene supplies were missing. Towels and pillowcases were visibly dirty.I raised these issues immediately. The host was slow to respond and never fixed the core problems. I reached out to Airbnb support multiple times, requesting escalation due to health and safety concerns, and was met with scripted, unhelpful replies from support agents who clearly didn’t understand the situation.I’ve wasted time, money, and productivity, and I’m now forced to check out early. If this impacts my job, I will hold Airbnb and the host responsible.Airbnb failed to enforce its own standards and protect its guests. Avoid using this platform unless you're prepared to be ignored when things go wrong.

Airbnb no longer protects guests — shameful experience

I had a terrible experience with Airbnb.I booked a room after confirming with the host that early check-in was possible.Upon arrival, the room was not available, it was dirty, and other people were still inside.I couldn’t use the accommodation at all.Airbnb acknowledged the host’s fault and refunded me only for the taxi expenses — but refused to refund the full accommodation cost.They tried to confuse the situation by mixing the taxi refund with the accommodation payment.In the end, I paid €40.71 for a service that was never provided.This is not the first issue I’ve had with Airbnb.Support is slow, unhelpful, and more interested in protecting hosts than guests.With Booking.com, I’ve never had such problems — guests are respected there.This was my last time using Airbnb.Disappointed and switching permanently to Booking.

I am a host. Airbnb still didn't pay out my money. Every other day they putting on hold than processing than hold again than processing ..... never ends! How long I have to wait month, two month, three month...

hi my name is mike Odonnell. about 4 yrs ago. i had no were to stay one night. and a friend of mine had a airbnb in Hamilton ont. Canada. at 133 sherman ave south. i big nice place. we stayed i think 3 days. over a long weekend. everything want fine. than it was time to leave. and we had a lot of stuff there was now 3 of us. anyway. we needed to do two loads in a car . and we also had i mountain bikes with us. so the first load. we filled the car up. i want throw the house very well. every room. fridge! bathroom every inch of the place MY SELF! the last thing i wanted was to give the airbnb to give us any trouble next time we wanted to use the site. as i was going out side. the owner showed up with his son. and was nice to me. we talked. we were running a little late so im sure that is why he was there. but seemed fine 100% so i told him we gave lot of stuff i being it all out side. but will have to do two loads with the car and is it ok to leave the other load in the back yrd for 1 hr at most. he said sure np. we took the load we want back by now uts been about 1hr and hafe. wan i pull in with the car. everything is now GONE. FUCKEN GONE. three mountain bikes. worth about 5.000 bucks three suit cases there wore full of someone s hole life at the time. and laptops two i phones. at two more bags. GONE! i new rite away it was the owner. bec were i put the stuff was were no would find if you didnt no to look. and the bikes were locked up with it to a poll. it took for. after were there was no one to call or fite with. no one took r calls. NOTHING. final the person how rented for me. got the owner on the phone. and he made up some dame fucken lie how we left the place a mass. and did drugs. and bla bla bla. just made up bullshit . i guess one of us had taken a sony pill speaker some how. i didnt no. but wasnt meant. and with one word would of took it rite back. i had thought it was ares. and took it on my last pass throw the house. and the owner must of seen it in my head. he sould of asked or said is that yours? any way. to the day i have never got anything back. and you have no glue how bad it eats at me. i am not the kind of person to call the cops for nothing. or maybe i could of got the stuff back. it was aug 28 2021 not the date below. tthank u. if anytghing can be done to help me. plz call 3653366609. o thank u
