I did feel I was pushed into a hospital stay that doesn’t look like it was necessary and the waiting times dropping off and collecting were just unacceptable Staff at Dewsbury were not familiar with insurance processes and although the trainee was very friendly other staff were dismissive.Reception Staff at Barnsley were indifferent and very long wait
Amazing vets, was told by another vets our old boy had a few weeks to live and was wrote off, then went to ‘Animal trust’ and they have been brilliant we were given the options for treatment of cancer for our boy he is now 5 months in and is back to himself enjoying beach walks, having his favourite treats and barking at the postman 🤣 Amazing team in Rhyl.
I moved here from a vet practice I was very happy with, but that was super expensive. People kept recommending Animal Trust Birkenhead to me, and I assumed there must be a catch. There isn't. It is simply an ethical model of delivering vet care. I have 4 dogs who are my world, and whilst I am willing to pay, many vets' prices have become prohibitive. Animal Trust are fair, transparent, and affordable. Today they neutered my puppy, Tommy. Tommy was high-risk due to his rescue siblings suffering from seizures. I will always be responsible and neuter my animals, but I was very worried about potential adverse reaction to GA.The vet (Paula! Thank you so much!!) vet nurses (thank you!) and whole team were wonderful. They went above and beyond with Tommy's care, and consideration over what drugs might prompt a neuro response, etc.I am so happy and will continue to recommend to friends and colleagues. I am so glad that I moved to this vets.
Thoroughly satisfied with my visit today. Waiting time short. Staff very friendly. Vet lovely, listened to my concerns, negotiated a treatment plan with my input. Cost of tests discussed prior to acceptance. Review booked to see efficacy of treatment.
I am very disappointed with the reception service at Animal Trust Birkenhead. There is an older lady who has been working here for a long time, but unfortunately she has no interest in helping people. She never answers the phone, and even when there is an emergency, she doesn’t care. Her attitude is unpleasant and unprofessional, and it makes the whole experience very stressful. It feels like she simply doesn’t want to help at all. The only positive side is the doctors – they are kind and do their best, but the reception makes the whole experience very frustrating.
I feel the Birkenhead branch some of the vets give off a not really interested in fully investigating a problem/ concern if it doesn't involved actually making any money from it. Went in with a concern and I was in there less than 2 mins checked one thing on my dog which wasn't even the most thorough check then that was it. Was given 2 possible reasons why my dog could be deaf or going deaf but still really not sure if she is I have done more thorough tests at home myself
I’ve given 2 stars purely for the charge of medication £50 for a tiny bottle of eye drops and £42 for ten steroid tablets is ridiculous you can gat the exact same eye drops on line for £14 £36 cheaper I know they don’t charge for a consultation but they hammer you with the price of meds and I also think £27.50 to clip 6 nails is extortion the staff on reception are friendly and the vets are too but you never seem to see the same vet when ever you go I have been multiple times the last couple of months and always see someone different and have to explain everything over and over again this is the Ashton under lyne branch
I have five cats and visit this vet practice regularly and have had procedures done. On balance care has been excellent, . Lately I have had to have dental procedures done and think the staff excellent in their knowledge and care in this area. I had to have an elderly cat put to sleep recently and had very compassionate care,from vets and receptionist. I wish they could have payment plans for unplanned surgery but you do know where you are with their pricing system.i am currently waiting another dental and they are trying to fit me in sooner rather than later although they are extremely busy.
