Placed order online, for 2 bookcases, told the driver we are missing boxes, he definitely said no and to contact customer service if any problem and drove off. Called customer service and tried to get replacement parts...said out of stock. This is an absolute JOKE!
Argos should really be shut down, there website is full of false advertising they sell you 1 thing and another item turns up they have been investigated by asa before yet still commit false advertisement they do not allow true unbiased reviews, I recently purchased an Oral B IO9 in Rose quartz Luxe but twice in a row they sent me aqua marine.
I also checked put air purifiers and one of them just said "phillips air purifier/humidifier" without a model number or name, I checked the questions and the person who answered stated it was 1 model however the image on the website showed a different product so I asked a question and another person told me it was a different item yet again which is ridiculous for a country wide retailer argos needs investigating badly.
This evening around 19:45, I purchased a water filter using the in-store option. I paid £25 in cash. While waiting for my change, I reminded the cashier that I had a loyalty card, but he said it was too late to apply it. I pointed out that he never asked if I had one, which frustrated me, leading me to request a refund. He promptly returned my money but was unable to assist further. When I asked for the manager, I learned from another staff member that he was the manager himself, and there were no apologies offered. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the staff, mentioning that they have the best manager. Good luck to them; he is not suited for the managerial position.
I ordered a TV on December 26th with a guaranteed delivery for December 29th. It was a signed delivery that never arrived, despite me waiting for hours. They claimed the goods were delivered without any proof. I was told a solution would be provided within 48 working hours. After following up, I received the same response. On January 6th, I called again and was informed it would take another 5 working days for a response. Now, I’m without a TV and £329 down. The service has been terrible, and I will be avoiding this company in the future.
My delivery was just 7 minutes away when my order was suddenly canceled without explanation. I ordered a Bluetooth speaker for £99.95 on December 18th as a Christmas gift. When I arrived to collect it on the 22nd, it was not available. I was told it might have been returned. They assured me it would arrive before Christmas, but if not, I would get an automatic refund by the 27th. This was pointless as it was meant for Christmas. After a frustrating chat with an automated system and an online assistant who couldn't help, I called the helpline, where I was told to drive 40 miles to another store and pay again. I requested a refund, but was told I had to wait until the 27th. Now it’s December 31st, and I’ve had no updates or refund. After persistent follow-ups, I was finally told I would get a refund in 48 hours. Had I not pursued this, I doubt I would have received anything. Overall, the customer service was dreadful and inconsistent.

I ordered a necklace advertised as approximately 1 oz, but when I received it, it weighed only 4 grams. An ounce is 28 grams, so this is far from accurate. I feel misled by the product listing. Now I have to go out of my way to return the item, and I won’t be using this service again.
I tried to exchange a Samsung watch purchased as a Christmas gift because it was the wrong size. The box was opened, and I immediately realized it was too large. However, they refused to exchange it, placing the blame on us. This is unacceptable customer service, especially for an expensive item. I will be escalating this issue as I cannot wear the watch.
