Review Time
Returned 2 bras on 9/20/24 and have tracking history to show they arrived 9/23/24. Still don't have full refund more than 5 weeks after they received the items back. Have emailed repeatedly to no avail. Will not order from them again.
*UPDATE 2/27/25 - I did finally receive a refund check and it has cleared the bank. *UPDATE 1/17/25 - Bare Necessities reached out to me today and indicated they could and would issue me a refund check by mail but that it would take 4-6 weeks for me to receive the check. I will provide an update if and when I receive the check. Bare Necessities is a retail store selling women's undergarments, swimwear, sleep wear, etc. I made an online purchase of swimwear. The swimwear did not fit so I started an online return for a refund back to my original payment method which was on my American Express credit card. I shipped the merchandise back to Bare Necessities according to the online instructions. Bare Necessities acknowledged receipt of the returned merchandise via email dated 10/22/24 which indicated they received my return, that it was now at their store, and that they would process it and send me my refund. The email states that they will refund me immediately after they process the return and that it takes up to 10 business days for my financial institution to post it to my account. Today is 1/16/25 and I still have not received my refund. I initially, back in the fall of 2024, submitted an online inquiry regarding the status of my refund and did not receive a response. I then called the Bare Necessities customer service number (877-728-9272) some time I believe in late October or early November, 2024, at which time I was advised that they were having some sort of IT issue and were trying to get it fixed and that they could not tell me when it would be fixed so that they could process my refund. They recommended I call back the following week to follow-up. I then performed a Google search on the company and reviews and saw that many others also had returned their merchandise and had not received their refund or were having other issues. I then called American Express to see if I could dispute payment but, unfortunately, I was already past the 30 day window where American Express could assist. I contacted Bare Necessities customer service number (877-728-9272) again on 1/7/25 and spoke with "Asari" and she told me the technical issue still was not fixed where they could refund my original payment method (American Express) but that she could offer me a store credit or an online/virtual Mastercard. I asked if they could issue my refund by check and I was told no which is interesting since I see in another review on this site that someone did eventually receive their refund via check. I further inquired about the online/virtual Mastercard and was told that is something I could receive immediately. But after further discussion Asari said she only had authority to immediately issue a store credit and that if I wanted the online/virtual Mastercard or to see about other refund options she would have to escalate the call to someone else. I asked her to escalate the call and she told me she would escalate it and have someone call me. It has now been 9 days since that call and I have yet to receive a call back about my refund options other than a store credit which I do not want. So Bare Necessities has their merchandise back and also still has my payment for that merchandise going on almost 3 months now.
I've never submitted a 1 star review before but after contacting Bare Necessities to get the refund from my order 4 times, unfortunately, I need to file a dispute with Paypal. BN confirmed they received my return package on 9/26 and promised to process the refund by the end of that week every time I called. I sent the first inquiry via online contact form on Oct 6, then called on Oct 7, then again on 10/15 and 10/22. Each time a customer service representative promised to speed it up and get it processed by the end of the week. I was told the company went through a system upgrade at the end of September, so things were slow, but it's been a month now, and I just want to get my refund.
I placed an order in September 2024, and returned in 3 weeks because of the poor fit (order no. 24294055)It is now February 2025, I still haven’t received my refund!! 20+ calls and a bunch of lies later, I’m beyond frustrated. They’ve promised me a refund in check, store credit and Mastercard format…nothing has shown up yet. What a scam this company is! Update: Just filed with BBB, and tomorrow, I plan to go to my local precinct and file a complaint as well.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. Long story short, I paid with a gift voucher and needed to return those items. When I replaced the items I was told it would come about 3 weeks faster if I put the new order on my credit card and when the returned items were received, my credit card would be refunded. NOT THE CASE. I am currently unemployed and need my money back on my credit card (as promised), not another gift voucher. I will NEVER buy from this company again so what the hell would I do with a gift voucher. I called credit card company and filed a dispute. LIARS!!! I do not recommend buying from these thieves.Unfortunately, the girl (Brittany) with whom I spoke about my final order of 9/10/24 is the one that told me she could have it refunded to my credit card. She brought it up, I did not ask for it that way. I questioned her no less than 4 times as I was shocked by her telling me that. So in good faith, I ordered on my credit card. I called several weeks later and another employee told me it would definitely be credited to my credit card. Maybe appropriate training is in order because I feel deceived. I feel since your employee told me that and made a mistake that you should make good on what she told me, but NO!
I have been having an issue with finding a bra that is comfortable and fits right. I have received and returned several times and each time I have had to increase cost for many reasons. I have had to speak to many customer service people, but to Kim was very helpful, understood what I was asking and able to keep me as a satisfied customer!!!
Bare Necessities has such a tremendous selection- which is so meaningful when in a very hard to find, hard to fit size. Their customer service is second to none, and I could not have asked for more than the EXCELLENT service they provided!Erika was so incredibly helpful in finding the correct size and went above and beyond what I could have expected!This is my go to place always!!
