I have recently switched my sipp from another provider who shall remain nameless to a SSAS with Barnett Waddingham and have to say that the service and professionalism with them compared to the traumas endured over 25/30 years are immense. I look forward to having our SSAS managed properly in the years to come.
Shocking experience. I have requested a transfer value 5 times and every time they say “we cannot calculate at this time”.They are very VERY untrustworthy, if I could give -5 stars I would. Unfortunately they took over as my occupational pension provider. TF gave me my transfer value on the spot however, since they took over I have called 5 times tried contacting them 3 times from the “contact us” link and every time I get the same response.I am loosing out financially because they cannot complete my request.It’s MY money! This is crazy, I can honestly say hand on heart that this is the most unprofessional dodgy company I have ever dealt with. Run a mile away if you can and don’t voluntarily give these incompetent fools your money.

This company was administering my SIPP with Interactive Investors. It took 35 days to receive my last Sipp payment. Why should this company hold onto my money for such a long time? They kept sending many many secure messages saying that I did not have enough money in my cash account, when my acc stated that the money was cleared and available. They promised to have my money paid by a certain date but it did not happen. I must have made at least 10 or 12 long phone calls trying to get my money paid to no avail. I was not able to speak to Barnett Waddingham direct because my SIPP was with Interactive Investors and you have to go through them with any queries. Totally unsatisfactory!! I expect this company will come up with a lot of excuses as to why this happened but they are extremely sloppy in their administration. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this company.

Met by a trainee and another lady at Bristol office, today seriously unprofessional, told one lie after another. Badly trained should not be let Any where near a customer, should be fired for incompency And gross misconduct, makes me sick Complete ningcompopes lyres, a kind gentleman came to the rescue and sorted situation out

Most people have to deal with a pension issue once or twice in their adult life. If it's anything like dealing with Barnett-Waddingham, once is enough.The customer service is non-existent. The one phone they have must be in a basement where no-one can hear it ringing. And IF you get to talk to someone, they never do what they say they are going to, and everything takes 4 or 5 emails and calls to force, cajole and beg them to do the job they say they do for a living.I honestly can't imagine a worst organization I've ever dealt with. We have no choice where the companies we work for place our pensions, but for your sake, pray it's not with these people.
