Review Time
Entered Uxbridge restaurant around mid afternoon and waited to be seated. The place was virtually empty. Was directed towards a little two seater table in a dingy area. Expressed to manager? Why? When the restaurant has quite nice elevated tables at the end which admittedly are for four. Despite indicating that where we were being directed was not satisfactory there was a very poor response. Well no positive reaction! So we walked out and went to Prezzo. Where we walked in to a great welcome and were asked “where would you like to sit!”. We then had an excellent meal.
With cost of living crisis the experience of eating out is limited and valued. I visited the branch in Northampton with my husband and daughter, I ordered a burger and the bun was stale and inedible. Having got up from my table and approaching a member of staff, who happened to be the on duty manager, I was met with a curt and short “sorry do you want anything else” and removal of my plate. There was absolutely no empathy to the fact my precious and rare experience was ruined. After we had paid I attempted to provide feed back to this manager about how his response impacted my experience, but he became very defensive and called me a liar! Needless to say I immediately left and will never return. I will add that the waitress who served us was pleasant however also failed to acknowledge the issue with the food
Recently visited in Portsmouth with my wife and daughter for her graduation. Although the food was average, the service was impeccable. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off night - I would certainly be willing to try again with the level of care and service I received.
Today we was served by Gabriel at the strand branch in central London who offered a perfect service. Asking throughout if we needed anything or wanted anything. As well as providing some small talk about his orange and lemon trees which provided a comfortable atmosphere. When serving us it was very good from the moment we walked through the door as well as the top floor staff this was a brilliant service. The prices are reasonable for the food quality as well.The food was better than I had expected and I will be definitely be coming back.
The service remains good but the food is rapidly declining. They’re serving vacuum packed ready meals which is probably no secret but our last three meals have been not far off inedible. Congealed, overcooked pasta, sauce dried up from overcooking. Definitely would have made a better meal at home, so very disappointing as it ruins the whole idea of going out. Prices are now very expensive too.
Went to Uxbridge branch on Friday evening, restaurant was very empty. When we got our meals we realised why! I had lasagne and it was swimming in water. My husband had pea and asparagus risotto with added chicken. There was no chicken and it was so bland, no flavourings and just looked like packet rice with a few peas chucked in. It actually looked raw! We told the waitress it wasn't good and she did take it off the bill. She said the chef is new and just learning how to make the dishes. We're not guinea pigs to practice your cooking skills on, especially if your charging full price!
Please avoid this horrid little place. A woman with blonde curly hair who works there was disgustingly rude to us. We asked for the bill and were told to scan and pay, my partners phone is old and so it can't scan and he told her this, she then proceeded to bang a salt shaker on the table out of frustration and storm off. Eventually the waiter showed up and brought us a bill and card machine as if they were doing us a massive favour. Why is London so disgraceful when it comes to customer service??? The food was beyond basic and coffee was cold. You offer terrible, overpriced food and on top of that we must be subjected to the worst attitudes from staff members. AVOID!!! A pre made pizza from waitrose is better than the junk being sold in this little horror show of an establishment.
Having not visited Bella Italian for quite a while, we decided to visit for my wife's birthday and as she was signed up for the email service, received an invite to a free main. We duly visited, and although 30 mins early, we we accommodated to a booth.Approximately 1 hour 5mins later, we received our starters. I enjoyed mine but the mixed olives were shrivelled up and did not have the fresh look.We then had the mains, which although tasty, and maybe naive on my part, the Lasagne was just that, a bowl of Lasagne, I did expect at least some garnish but I did feel a little let down.The wife did enjoy her main.The desserts were fine for what they were.At the beginning of the ordering process, we mentioned to the waitress that we had a free main email and so she said we would sort it out at the end of the visit. We duly expected this to be deducted from the bill, but having paid for the meal, we were on the way home and noticed this was not taken off (the top of the receipt had £0.00 unlock so naturally assumed this was the main.This was not to be.So overall, a. Mediocre experience and a fairly expensive night out for what we had. Would I go again, not really.
We went to Bella Italia at Paddington in London. The staff were very rude, they didn't care about us. We waited for a long time to be served and the food was cold.Other customers looked upset. We will never go back again to this place.
