Visited Eldon Square Bella Italia. The food was beautiful, but most of all the service was exceptional. I would like to say a big thank you to our waitress; Cher, who was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you Cher, you have really made our evening and brought our stay in Newcastle to a perfect close.
Went to Bristol Bella for a birthday treat was disappointing, attitude from team member when they got the order wrong, bolognese watery, had to go on website to tell them how much was left on giftcard they didn't know and glasses not the best, attitude not good
Very disappointing meal. I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday with my husband and it was spoilt. The restaurant wasn't busy, however we had to wait 50 minutes for a simple vegan burger and meatball spaghetti! The meal arrived and the chips (more like matchsticks) were very anaemic and undercooked. I mentioned it to the waiter who said they have to be cooked in the oven because they're vegan. So, does that mean if you're a vegetarian the chips are cooked in meat oil? Not very reassuring!! The waiter offered to cook another batch but they won't be vegan! I declined the offer for obvious reasons! Oh, and the waiter couldn't even be polite and wish me a happy birthday or offer a complimentary drink of some sort! Absolutely disgraceful..... such a shame we're having to pay for a shambles of a meal!
Wont be going again, went yesterday lunchtime and although only a quarter of the restaurant was being used they wouldnt let us in because we had a small pushchair, there were loads of empty places that would have been fine. They have lost my custom.
Date of visit 1 6 22 Time 2.15 Absolutely terrible food experience. Mini Calzone starters, one was frozen in the middle. I couldn’t eat my main meal, spaghetti bolognaise, the spaghetti was undercooked, virtually no mince and the whole meal was swimming in water. My husband’s Calzone tasted of nothing but tomato purée, same with the meatballs my son had, just meatballs dumped in tomato purée. We’ve had a bad experience with Bella Italia at the MK Stadium in the past so thought we’d try the other one local to us MK Theatre District) but I can honestly say it was awful. Such a disappointment to the start of our bank holiday weekend.
Confrontational Staff at the Castleford Branch ruined our experience Our otherwise pleasant experience abruptly ended when the server became confrontational about using our Cineworld discount card, despite us making her aware of our intention to use before placing our order. When she became irrational and hostile we asked to speak to the manager.Luke resolved the situation with minimal fuss and an abundance of apologies for the behaviour of his staff. We’ll save ourselves the drama next time and eat somewhere else.
5 of us went to Bella Italia, Coventry last night. 4 of the people had wonderful food. I am a Coeliac and in the past have eaten here (pre covid) many times with no problems. However last night I had a terrible experience with the food. I ordered Mushroom Crostini, this came on a nearly raw pizza base, Not a bit of bread in site. I did complain to the waitress, she responded I know its just Pizza Base, another lady has just said the same. I advised I was not willing to pay for it, I did ask what the response was on my comments, she replied oh I have not had time? The next course cam out GF Bolognese, the pasta was undercooked, barely and sauce and it was lukewarm. By this time I was very upset and di not complain as I felt bad for the other guests. I then asked the waitress if I could get some chips as I was still hungry with not having a starter that was edible, and could not eat the Pasta. She promptly bought them, but added them on the bill? Then the final straw 3 of us had paid for the set menu of 3 courses, the 2 non gluten were placed on the table. When they had nearly finished theirs, I managed to catch someone's attention to advise I had not had my desert. This was then brought to the table and put down without a word of apology. This meant I ate the desert quickly as the others were finishing up. But the desert was the only nice thing about the food. When I went to pay, the server advised that they were busy, but no excuse for poor food. Hence overall my evening was totally ruined, and I made food for myself when home. I await your response. Normally I would have asked to see the manager, but I was too embarrassed at this stage. In addition I got a response from one o f the team advising they were sorry, but cannot change what happened. Then I got another e mail today, advising that the food I was served was as the menu advised. The starter was advertised as Mushroom Crostini, NOT Mushroom on a barely cooked bland Pizza Base. No word of apology about my desert being not delivered with the others, and a voucher for £20. Which I will probably not use.
