This seller engages in deceptive practices by displaying a photo of a deluxe edition but sending a standard one instead. Their customer support is lacking; I've sent two inquiries regarding a return and have been completely ignored. Save your money and shop elsewhere.
This company is terrible, and I wouldn't recommend them at all. I ordered a book that was supposed to include a CD, which was important for my son. When the book arrived without the CD, I contacted them for a replacement or refund. Their response was that they only provide the book and that extras like CDs aren't guaranteed, despite being mentioned in the description. They offered a 'goodwill refund,' but I never received it. When I followed up, they didn't respond. Complete scam!
Absolutely awful. I will never order ever again. The wrong book arrived, I contacted them again and they asked for ISDN other codes, order number. I e sent the info 4 times. I’m done sending x more emails and I’ll reorder from another supplier. Very disappointed.
This is a horrible company. I placed an order with expedited shipping. Then, silence. No confirmation email or anything. After three days I contacted customer service who responded the next day letting me know they have been experiencing difficulties. Once the book did arrive it is LARGE PRINT! Nowhere did it tell me that. Wasted money and seething.
I don’t want to support jeff bezos so i stopped shopping with thriftbooks. i placed one order from better world books and after nearly two weeks, it finally made its way to USPS. I still haven’t received the package and received zero updates from the company. I don’t care that they’re allegedly a B corp or allegedly donate books. The fact is that their shipping and their customer service are atrocious.
UPDATE- I was refunded for the book and told to keep it. I have updated my review score due to the good customer serviceThey sent me a book that had a torn cover, both front and back, was stained and had something that looked like mud or melted chocolate on it. It was supposed to be in 'good' condition, but it's not even acceptable. Its an easy to find book and this copy should have been thrown out. This was my first and last order with them.
