I purchased a vehicle for £14,000 with a 12-month MOT and a warranty, expecting peace of mind, but it has been quite the opposite. Shortly after acquiring the car, faults began to surface. When I contacted the seller, they referred me to the warranty provider, who refused to cover the issue, claiming it fell outside their terms. I wasn't adequately informed about what was included at the time of sale. I've scheduled a full inspection for September and will forward the findings to both the dealer and warranty provider. I've also involved my solicitor to pursue further action if necessary. This has been a shocking experience after such a large financial commitment. Be cautious: the MOT and warranty mean little without proper support when issues arise.
I had a positive experience with the warranty provider. Their service was excellent—responsive emails, easily reachable by phone, and they supported me throughout the process. Payments were straightforward and made on time. Highly recommend for reliable warranty coverage!
WARRANTY ISNT WORTH THE PAPER ITS WRITTEN ON!!! my dpf cracked so made a claim which was rejected with little explanation, considering its a common fault with landrovers it should have been simple but instead left me with a 2200 repair on a car I'd only had 6 days!
What an experience I have had with this company.Bought a car 9 weeks ago which from day 1 I have had problems with, my car needs a gear box or the whining noice sorting anyway this company booked my car in for a inspection garage came back to them and said car needs a new gearbox. I then received an email saying because the car hasn't broke down and is still drivable that they will not be renewing the gear box, my warranty runs out in 2 weeks how convenient anyway people please stay well clear from this scam of a company I wasn't going to put anything on here but after today i thought why not 9 weeks and nothing has been done jokers man
I strongly advise against purchasing a Blackstars Warranty. My experience has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. I attempted to make a claim three times, and each time, I was booked in but, due to unavoidable work and family emergencies, I was unable to attend. Instead of working with me to reschedule, Blackstars decided to completely close my claims and refuse any further claims—despite the fact that I have £10,499 in available claims that I have never used. When I called today to ask for an explanation, I was met with rude and unprofessional customer service. The representative I spoke to refused to provide a proper explanation and even had the audacity to hang up on me when I pressed for answers. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable for a company that claims to offer “peace of mind” through its warranty service. From the very beginning, their terms made it clear that I had a certain claim amount available, yet they have now found an excuse to avoid honoring their agreement. How is missing a few appointments a justifiable reason to completely revoke my ability to claim? It’s absurd and unfair.Blackstars Warranty is a scam. They are quick to take your money but will do everything possible to avoid paying out when you need them. If a dealer offers you a Blackstars Warranty, walk away. It’s not worth the hassle, and you will likely end up in the same situation I’m in—paying for a worthless service.Shame on this company for their dishonest practices. I sincerely hope others don’t fall into their trap.. Stay away!
