What an absolute joke of a company ! Avoid avoid avoid!!! Their customer aim is a farce, which is on their website!Do not buy especially if you have an electric car!! The claims department lie , as they told me “no policy on this planet covers everything on a car” yes they do , extremely disappointed, no treating customers fairly at all.
Avoid at all costs, including Dealers that offer them as their post sale warranty. They use below standard repairers and limit actual claims to £1000 per claim. Pointless in todays market.My vehicle was "repaired" at a garage I specifically asked not to be repaired by, it was damaged during the repair and Blackstar refused to deal with the claim despite photos being supplied. The worst Warranty service in the country, and their score reflects that. Warranties aren't worth the paper they are printed on.Blackstar are also not trading as a registered company, they state they trade as a "group of partnerships", that tells you everything you need to know.
Had a silver policy that was provided by the car dealership. Made claim as car was knocking when driving. Found the staff very helpful and efficient. Had to pay £35 excess. I was kept informed as the claim was processed. Good and professional company to use.
Everyone should know about this company, absolutely brilliant. My daughter has recently passed her test and her car broke down whilst she was out by herself. She called Blackstar Warranties and they arranged recovery of the car to a local garage and our daughter was brought home. Astonishing service! Next day Blackstar was on the phone to us to confirm that the car had been diagnosed with a failed coil pack and they had authorised the repair. Car was fixed within 24 hours and my daughter was back on the road. Blackstar went above and beyond with their service. Will now be taking a warranty out with them for my own car.
Had a gold policy and the gearbox failed on my car. Blackstar warranties paid my mechanic to carry out the repair. Great company with great service. They kept me up to date and I had the assurance that the work was being done properly as it was done by the garage that looks after our cars
Thank you Blackstar Warranties. Car broke down and they had it recovered to a local garage. Car was diagnosed by their approved repairer, they paid for the repair and car was sorted. Brilliant service. Everyone should have a policy with them
Made a claim for an oil leak on car. Had owned the car for 4 months. Told to get car inspected so used my own trusted mechanic. A report was sent to Blackstar Warranties they approved the claim in under an hour. Car was repaired and they had paid my mechanic before I even collected my car. Super service from Blackstar Willis recommend and will renew my warranty
Terrible experience. I had my car only 12 weeks and was told they would not replace a coil spring due to ‘wear and tear’. The car had only been driven 1500 miles. The answers and reasons they gave me for refusing my claim contradicted themselves.The warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on.I have gold warranty which states coil springs are covered…. Apparently not
Avoid avoid avoid!! This company advised me to go and get a diagnostic check out of my own pocket when I'd had the car 48 hours and to take it to Quick Fit. Quick Fit advised they don't cover the work needed to be a done and it wouldn't come up on a diagnostic. I called back and got told I would get a call back a few days later.. Still waiting 7 weeks on. Then my car diagnosed a filter needed changing but the car should have had a full service 8 weeks prior when I bought it. Called Blackstar to be advised I needed to pay for a diagnostic (it's diagnosed itself!!) Then was advised after I questioned it that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I called the company who sold me the car who advised they are a bunch of monkeys and they don't know what they are doing and advised me to bring the car back and they will fix it. Honestly never dealt with a ruder company who will do anything not to help!
