Review Time
I spoke to Blackstar warranties regarding faulty nox sensors on my van. I had already taken my van to a garage where they told me the nox sensors needed replacing. Everyone I spoke to over the phone at Blackstar said that I needed to get a diagnostic report carried out to make a claim, which seemed fair enough. when I came to make the claim they emailed back very quickly to say these items weren't covered under my silver warranty (they said all items that would be covered where written in the booklet I received with the van).If Blackstar Warranties could've told me over the phone that this work wouldn't be covered by my warranty then telling me to get a diagnostic report was a complete waste of time. These faulty nox sensors have stopped my adblue from working, which means a countdown has started and when it ends the engine will not turn on. In all the time that has been wasted, this could have been rectified a lot sooner.I think somebody at Blackstar Warranties needs to review the process regarding claims as this has been a complete waste of everyone's time (and my money for a diagnostic test).
This warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Failed wheel bearing 2000mls after buying a van and they would not pay despite the warranty claiming to cover wheel bearings.Its a complete waste of money and just an excuse to fleece you.
Awful - refused to cover a coil pack as it wasn’t an ‘ignition coil’ - it absolutely is, just packaged differently. I never write negative review unless it’s truly warranted, and it is here. I suspect this lot would do anything to wriggle out of stuff. Don’t rely on it if it comes with your car, and don’t ever buy anything from them.
Wouldn’t even give this company 1 star if I could help it! Gold cover but doesn’t cover warped brake discs. Make you pay for diagnostics knowing their going to knock back the claim! Hope every one of you loose your jobs when you get closed down because your making £0000!!!!!!
I was a bit dubious after reading other reviews, but my own experience was actually very positive. Initially Blackstar couldn’t find my details, but it turned out they had not been submitted correctly by the car seller. The call centre answered calls quickly and responded to emails almost immediately. It is a bit of a faff to have to get quotes before the work is undertaken, but I appreciate there needs to be some kind of process. Once the work completed, payment went through quickly.
AVOID AVOID AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!!warranty cover and customer service are diabolical! You might Aswell take a warranty out on crisp packet you would get better service! amazes me how they will cover a massive engine leek or complete clutch but not a small part such as a wheel bearing! avoid at all costs! They don't know their a** form their elbow!seeing replies like ''I am sorry that you were unhappy with the service received and that we were unable to provide coverage at this time. All of the items that are covered under your policy are listed within your warranty booklet and we must adhere to the terms and conditions.'' ........just proves how helpful this company really is!!, My case got closed within minutes they don't seem to care or even be a warranty cover company if you ask me!!
