I experienced a small part failure on my electric C line battery, I contacted Brompton via their web site and had a response within a couple of hours. After confirming purchase information I received an email advising the whole battery would be replaced with the now upgraded model including a new charger and bag carrier frame. Absolutely brilliant service from a UK manufacturer!
I was having trouble inflating the Presta x Tubolito tubes on my Brompton, so I decided to treat myself to a new track pump.
The Lezyne pump on the Brompton website was competitive priced and I assumed that the pump would be set up for their bikes.
I was somewhat taken aback to find that the valve head was screw based, as opposed to a clamp system, but I persevered.
It quickly came apparent that was totally useless as the twisting head is far, far too tight even after a spot of chain lubricant, certainly nowhere near the easily twisting head depicted on Lezyne's website. As a result as one tries to screw the head onto the valve, it tends to screw the Presta cap back shut which is extremely frustrating.
I contacted Lezyne who suggested clamping the head in the chuck of an electric drill and using the drill to run it in and thus loosen the head !!!!!
In conclusion, may I suggest that a Brompton staff member tries this head on their bikes ????
After the rear triangle failed on my 3 year old Brompton P line Electric, I promptly contacted the company and spoke with a fantastic technician called 'Raimonds' who personally took control of the issues and made a genuine effort to put things right. He listened carefully, addressed the problems thoroughly, and did everything possible to ensure the bicycle was repaired quickly and under the 7 year warranty. While the initial situation was frustrating, Brompton responded in a rapid fashion and demonstrated accountability and a strong desire to make things better.
Original review in November 2025: I’ve always admired Brompton, but this experience has been truly disappointing. My brand-new C Line special edition arrived with a serious fault, and the replacement — which Brompton assured me had been fully inspected — also arrived with a chain problem that made it impossible to ride. I’ve now had to take it to an official retailer to get it fixed myself. The team has been polite and offered a goodwill gesture, but after two faulty bikes, a crash, and constant back and forth, this experience has been exhausting. For a premium brand, I expected much better quality control and customer care. Raimonds in customer service was first rate and provided a first class solution.

I believe it's important to recognize how a company handles customer issues when things don't go as planned. This company is known for delivering quality products, and in my experience, they take the necessary steps to uphold that reputation, even when rare problems arise. I encountered a significant issue with one of their bikes, which they deemed outside of warranty coverage. However, instead of lengthy discussions, they provided a very satisfactory goodwill repair for my bike – excellent service!
I currently own two folding bikes, a T-Line 12-speed and a G-Line, along with various parts and accessories that I purchased directly. The ordering and delivery process was straightforward and prompt, and my numerous interactions with the customer service team have been efficient and supportive. I also enjoy riding the bikes!

The customer service was outstanding. They were knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. We initially reached out via email after purchasing a second-hand bike, which had incomplete details. The team promptly scheduled a video call, and with their assistance, we discovered that the bike had several non-original parts. The eBay listing also contained incorrect information. We returned it for a full refund and decided to buy a renewed bike from the company, which arrived in excellent condition just two days later. Thank you for your support!
