I am a long-standing member with Bruce, and unfortunately, with every recent change, I become increasingly upset about my experience with Bruce. In September 2025, several studios that I enjoyed on the Black membership either left Bruce or upgraded to the Epic level. That was already quite a hit. However, I decided that it would make sense for me to upgrade to Epic as well, which costs 1699SEK (in this day and age, such a considerable investment in wellness). Just now, I am getting the news that on the most expensive membership available, I can only book 2 (!!!) classes a *month* in the studio I frequent the most. Meaning that while paying *the highest fee possible*, I am not able to do reformer pilates even once a week at a studio that I enjoy most. I thrive on routines, and being able to count on the same schedule every week is important for my physical and mental well-being. The number of spots available for booking with different studios continues to decrease as well, which already makes it complicated to book these classes in the first place — you literally have to fight for them. This is honestly very disappointing and makes me question whether I want to continue paying as much via Bruce or if I would rather switch to booking classes directly through the studios of my choice. Because what is the point of having an all-in-one membership if I barely get to enjoy the classes I love once a week? 🥲
HII've used Bruce for 1,5 years in Copenhagen - and until recently - been so happy with it. Too many changes and limits on visits have now made me cancel my subscription :'(Im especially disapointed about the changes regarding the 4 visit limit on wellness with Black. The cost of any subscription plan with Bruce now exceeds the regular price of me just buying/booking 2 or 4 spots independently through the wellness facility. I know there is a lot of thoughts behind these changes, but for a lot of members this doesn't seem sustainable - as it might seem for Bruce in the long run.The limit on wellness and overall studio visits (20) in a month makes it not worth spending money on any more... :'(
I’m extremely disappointed with how Bruce handled the recent changes to the Black membership. The new limit of 4 wellness visits per month was never clearly communicated. The only thing mentioned was a general reduction in visits per Saunagus/wellness location — not a total cap across all wellness visits. To make matters worse, Bruce is currently offering 40% discounts to new members, while existing loyal members are stuck with reduced access and no proper notice. How is this fair — or even legal? Many members, including myself, feel misled. If I had known about these changes in advance, I would have cancelled my membership. Now I’m stuck paying for this month — and possibly the next — under conditions I didn’t agree to.
Been a longtime user but will cancel now unfortunately. Continual price hikes and restrictions coming into place with the introduction of EPIC and Black before that. Cheaper to buy entry to what you want to do. Next will probably be forced to listen to ads before booking a class :,(
Very disappointed with the new changes to the membership. I used to love Bruce and have been a customer for years but will have to cancel my membership now as I cannot really justify my membership financially anymore. Even though i would love to go to my favorite studio more then once a week I can live with Bruce's explanation to make it more equally accessible for everyone - however, that does not explain why they also raise the price (quite drastically) for a worse service. If anything, the membership should have become cheaper with this new update.
I’ve been a dedicated Bruce Studios member, and it’s become painfully clear how little that loyalty means under these new rules. I’m still paying the same amount but now I’m getting noticeably less for my money. They’ve slashed the perks I signed up for: check-in limits capped at just 20 per month, e.g. not even one session per day, and it makes no difference which membership you’re on. On top of that, the total number of studio visits per month has been cut back with no warning and no transparency. They claim it’s all about creating a “more sustainable model,” but frankly, that rings hollow. I never had any trouble booking classes, so what’s the point of calling this an improvement? To me, it reads like a greedy cash grab disguised as corporate responsibility.Bruce Studios went from being a valuable, flexible experience to feeling restrictive, stingy, and uncaring toward its most loyal members. If they don’t reverse these changes, I won’t hesitate to end my membership - and I sincerely hope they reconsider before they lose even more loyal users.
