I’ve been enjoying Bruce Studios for nearly a year, and it’s been a great experience - up until the recent changes. It’s frustrating to still pay the same price, yet receive noticeably fewer benefits: check-in limits are now capped (20 check-ins, not even a training a day?), regardless of having Base, Black, or Epic membership, and the number of studio visits per month has been reduced. The change is supposedly aimed at creating a more sustainable model, but personally, I never had trouble booking classes - so I see little value in continuing my membership under these conditions.Extremely disappointing. It’s evident Bruce is sacrificing its most active users for financial gain. The system didn’t need balancing for customers; this feels like a greedy move that won’t benefit users.
They keep changing rules, making it more expensive and annoying to get classes - I am a loyal member and now will have to pay DOUBLE of when i started, its crazy, i suggest going else where, so many of my friends are also super disappointed and we are all thinking to quit
I’ve been using Bruce for a while now, and it has definitely improved my routines with the workouts available. Yes, it’s often hard to get into certain classes since spots for Bruce members are so limited, but I adapted. Now it seems the situation is only getting worse.I’m struggling to understand the logic behind this new “update,” where the number of classes is reduced while the price goes up. Why should customers have to suffer the consequences of an inefficient business model? Long-term users like me don’t get ANY benefits, yet prices keep rising and the rules get stricter.Do you really expect people to stay? Soon it will cost nearly 900 DKK for a Black subscription, while some studios will offer only a single class per month. At that point, it’s cheaper and more sensible to just go directly to a studio and buy individual classes. So what exactly are we left with in this setup? Where’s the value? Instead of cutting options and hiking prices, why not explore smarter solutions? If you don’t rethink this latest change, I’ll be forced to quit the app. After spending thousands of DKK on Bruce, I refuse to keep supporting a service that only gives me more restrictions in return.
I've been using Bruce for a long time but decided to cancel my membership now. The reason is that the price keeps going up, and now they are introducing a new type of membership (EPIC) that is essentially what the BLACK used to be. If not exactly the same, they have significantly changed and reduced the benefits from the BLACK without any price adjustment. For example, now I can only visit my favorite place twice a month, and it’s much cheaper to buy single passes directly.
I have been a member from the beginning and can definitely feel like Bruce is getting less worth having since the price goes up but you as a user get less. New update talks about base/black and epic. Can’t wait to see if this means even more expensive membership for us oldies with black.I have now cancelled my membership and first I was thinking if I should pause for one month and maybe see if the app is still worth almost 800dkk… but now with new membership I am thinking it’s gonna be better to just buy gym membership and some Barry’s classes when ever they are on discount..I wish you wouldn’t feel greedy but that’s what this feels like.
I have been a happy Bruce Studios member for a long time, but the changes coming into effect on September 2nd, 2025, are deeply disappointing. The new 20 check-ins per month limit drastically reduces the value of my membership. Many of us joined Bruce because of the flexibility and variety — to train often, explore different studios, and maintain a consistent routine. For active users, this hard cap forces us to either train less or pay more, which feels like punishing loyal members. On top of that, the new strike system is unnecessarily strict.1 strike for late check-in1 strike for cancelations made 12h before class3 strikes for a no-show3 strikes in 60 days = a 14-day suspension unless you pay a feeWhile I understand the need to discourage no-shows, the penalties are excessive, and the idea of “buying out” a suspension feels more like a cash grab than a fair policy. These two changes together shift Bruce from being a flexible, community-focused platform to one with rigid limits and financial penalties. I hope the company reconsiders and listens to feedback from its active, loyal members — otherwise, many of us may be forced to explore alternatives.
Bruce is the best!! I had a great time during my stay in Stockholm experiencing different activities and getting to know friendly people. In the app I could choose gyms on the dates and hours that worked well for me. I enjoyed swimming and dancing so much!! Thanks Bruce!! I’ll register every time I come back to visit my son.
I very seldom do this. Leave bad reviews, because maybe it was a one-off. But this has now been over 1½ years. Im opposite of most, more likely to spend my time giving a good review over a bad. (Usually do via google)Great Concept - Shitty App Check-in = unstable In-app features = unreliable Customer Service = following non-service policies I'd ad pictures if possible. They blame customers for the software mishaps. Their booking, check-in and n system is faulty. Have had to pay over $50 (700 sek) due to their system either not showing right in the app, check-in and have direct accusations from my favorite gyms as Bruce refuse to be held accountable.
