Bruce is nice, has a good selection of studios, good customer service, but I do think it is a bit overpriced considering you can only use the “wellness” classes (sauna etc) 4 times month (on the black membership), and that ALL memberships are constrained to maximum 20 workouts per month. If you could do unlimited workout it would make more sense.
I am really happy for the opportunity of doing different types of workouts! I personally switch a lot between going to different gyms and classes such as reformer. However, it can often be a challenge to make bookings because of high demand and you end up getting waitlisted. And the 20 limits per month is also a bit of a bummer + my subscription got additional restrictions with respect to how often I can do specific classes :) With that being said, I still prefer Bruce compared to having multiple subscriptions! And their costumer service is amazing! Always there to help and reply super fast :)
I’m now in my second year with Bruce, and it has gradually grown on me. I’m super happy with the current offering. The app works great, and the variety of training options available in my area is amazing. I use most the the solo gym and swimming and appreciate the pay-as-you-go classes and wellness options — really good value for money. Friendly and helpful customer support too. Highly recommended!
I am extremely disappointed. I have been a Bruce member for 3,5 years, and my membership thankfully ends this February. Seeing what Bruce has turned into has been horrible. Already this summer, I was considering leaving, especially because of the announced changes. I decided to wait, hoping things would be fine. Unfortunately, more changes followed, with new limitations, fewer studios, and fewer classes available. Over time, many of my friends have also resigned, and it no longer makes sense for me to continue.I am truly sad about this, as I met amazing people through Bruce during these years. However, it seems that nothing lasts forever.I wish Bruce all the best going forward.
Bruce is the best choice for me, especially during this hard economy. The options are great and it gives me so much flexibility. What really convinced me is that one monthly plan costs about the same as just two of my current memberships at local studios — but with Bruce, I get access to many more places, sports, and activities. I can try new things, discover new studios, and switch it up whenever I want. It feels like much better value for the money, without feeling locked in.
I have been a loyal customer at Bruce for several years. Over the last months, they have changed their subscription model drastically and introduced very negative changes for customers. Alongside a much worse benefit offering for a much higher price, the new cancellation policies are completely unmanageable: ("strike" for all cancellations 12 hours before class, making it impossible to cancel even if you get sick; "strikes" last 2 whole months instead of just 1). Cancellation has become another way to milk more money out of customers.Customer service has also gotten much worse, taking many days to answer one message with very little assistance offered - they don't help you in first instance, and then take several days again to follow up the clarification, and so on. I'm honestly very disappointed in this app that I have been a member of for a long time. Please consider fixing your cancellation policy and working with businesses to improve the offer again.
I attended a class, but for some reason the app wouldnt let me check in, so the instructor at the studio checked me in on their end. However I was marked as a no show and blocked. I tried to contact support via the app but the app crashes every time I go to that step. Then I contacted Bruce through the website, their bot replied and told me they would inform a human, but that was 5 hours ago. I was not able to go to the gym and they are repeatedly trying to take money out of my account. I just want to speak to an employee about this.
