I could smell gas

I had smelled faint gas near my meter outside on and off for a few weeks but seemed a bit stronger yesterday. Someone came within an hour. He checked everything thoroughly and was very reassuring. Explained everything in detail including why I could occasionally smell gas and when to call if I smelled it again. He was brilliant and easy to talk to.

Replacement of a Gas supply line for our property.

The gas supply line from the main road to our house needed replacing last week, as we didn't have the correct amount of gas pressure coming into the house for our combi boiler. Cadent sent a big team of engineers to replace the pipe in a timely manner. They were professional and got the job done quickly. They had to dig into our gravel driveway in order to get to the pipe however they had a team over the next day who filled in the hole quickly and even replaced the stones. Even though the situation was stressful and frustrating I couldn't be more happy with the speed and professionalism of Cadent and their team, they kept me up to date with what was happening and made sure everything was left or put back the way it was before the works began. Thank you!

A team you can be proud of

The gas main feeding my son's house & 2 neighbours needed replacing The team that came yesterday were brilliant- very careful & respectful of property, reassuring & polite in every exchange. Gareth kept in touch to keep me updated & all 3 properties were OK by the end of their long day. The job was more complicated than they hoped but their professionalism shone through. A real credit to your organisation.

Had been worried about an intermittent…

Had been worried about an intermittent gas smell both inside and outside my property for a while. I eventually called the National Gas Emergency Line and they sent out an engineer within the hour. Two engineers performed extensive checks and reassured me that there wasn't a leak inside the property. They helpfully informed me that the smell outside could be from the boiler flue and the smell in the kitchen from residual gas after using the cooking, but that if I was ever worried about it again, to call back. Whilst there wasn't a leak in my property, it was really reassuring to have them round and check it. All for free and so quick and efficient. Really happy with the engineers and this service.

Useless and lazy

Useless and lazy. Dig up one hole, on pavement, closed the street and nobody's working. What's the point to do all that and just leave it? Massive delays and people don't have where to park, all because of these lazy "workers"

I am very pleased the way sam and josh had done my repair on a gas sleeve pipe very polite and very intelligent guys there saved me from a lot of damage to the garden so there fixed my gas pipe sleeve without any damage to my garden welldone guys your the best engineers iv ever met from candet
