Smell of gas in the Garden!!

While working in the garden there seemed to be a heavy smell of gas. A phone call to the emergency help line bought Cadent out within the hour.A very polite engineer told me exactly what he was going to do and would keep me informed throughout the procedure.He carried out various test around my home and the neighbouring property. He also checked the public footpath and road for leaks. Nothing was found after detailed checks were carried out. It was discovered that on the day in question which was cold, the boiler flue and my neighbours are in close proximity. The heating was on in both properties and it was the fumes from the flue that we could smell!!! It was a relief. 10/10 for the engineers expertise and customer interaction. 10/10 for Cadents speedy service!

Safe, reliable and friendly.

I had a recent call out with these guys as I could smell gas outside of my property. Firstly the lady handling the call talked me through how to be safe, turning off the gas at the mains, opening doors windows etc. My engineer arrived in just over an hour, he was very smart in appearance, well spoken, polite, competent and he had an apprentice with him who was also very polite, taking shoes of to go upstairs without being asked. After making sure my home was safe and there was no leak it was explained to me why I could smell gas and was encouraged to ring again if I could smell it for longer than 30 second intervals. The engineer had a lovely encouraging way with his apprentice talking him through everything and also letting him take the lead on taking carbon monoxide readings and confidently explaining his findings. A fab company, punctual, safe, polite and building a new generation of engineers with the same attitude and morals. The exact date I can't remember but it was in Feb between the 4th and 17th as I was on holiday from work.

Peace of mind restored.

The engineer arrived in super quick time after ringing the Emergency Gas Helpline; he checked the whole house for carbon monoxide gas which was isolated in the kitchen. He explained what the next steps would be and gave me lots of advice. Peace of mind restored.

Amazing, speedy service

Excellent service when I had a gas leak recently. Gas Engineer was there within 20 minutes, found the leak quickly and capped off the pipe to make it safe. As the leak was from the gas hob, he also left me a hot plate so I had some type of cooking facility.
