Replacing gas pipes up our road Dug the top off our drive 2 weeks ago and still not done anything in there Today I got my car grounded out on the plates( which took me 3 days to get put down ) which they placed over the trench only to be told if I wasn’t happy they will take them away and I won’t get anything off the drive They are complete cowboys who try and bully and intimidate you I wouldn’t get this company out if my life depended on it
We had to call the emergency number due to a gas leak and Kieran, a Cadent gas engineer came to our property. We have a 1 week old baby so it was a possibility that the boiler would have to be turned off and we would have to move out until we got it fixed as it would be too cold for our baby. Kieran worked really hard to ensure that wouldn't happen and managed to isolate our leak to the other appliances so our heating could stay on and we could stay at home with our baby. He was very kind and thorough.
Cadent have been on our road since last week replacing pipes to the houses which I have no complaints about. What I do have a complaint about is its now 8.50pm, they told us the gas would be back on for our property by 8pm along with the other houses that have been shut off for today to have their pipes changed and its still not been reconnected and there's no workers in sight. We rang up the customer service line an hour ago who told us there's 1 engineer on the road who's dealing with the problem. 1 engineer to fix 20 plus houses with no gas. That is disgusting and its 1 degree outside and expecting freezing temperatures tonight. And we've now just been told by the engineer that we probably won't have the gas on till the morning. I am furious! How dare you put us in this position on the coldest day of the year!
We recently smelt gas in our kitchen. Rang the number on our gas meter who organised for Stephen 60009981 to visit from Cadent. He arrived within an hour, confirmed we had a small problem with a fitting in our kitchen. Fixed the problem efficiently and courtesy with a very short time and ensured that our boiler was working once he turned the gas back on. Great service so impressed!!
Oh my goodness, after reading all of these negative reviews regarding Cadent Gas, I'm not sure if my complaint is valid 😔 but anyway...I have called Cadent gas very simply to find out how long the gas main replacement in my area will finish, they have been at my location for 6 weeks or so and the main road where they are working is only 1 way, Cadent have also just errected a 2nd set if lights on Higher Road, Halewood, Liverpool which is causing absolute chaos outside our house...so called Cadent on the No. On the barriers, and immediately was told, Oh that's not this department, and gave me another No. To call, who said exactly the same thing, passing the buck I believe its called not taking ownership, so my question to Cadent (which is a simple one) when is this : well is this work in Leathers Lane/Higher Road L26 9UE due to finish, that piscine is mine not the location of the work...so come on Cadent take ownership of my complaint and let me know, my details will be on your system under my postcode which includes my telephone number...thanks guys xSpoke to Sarah From Cadent by phone this morning 09th March 23, who answered all of the above questions and more...Thanks Sarah, very impressed.
Cadent with us this week to replace the Gas Pipes brilliant from start to finish the team have been great.Difficult working conditions in a small cul de sac but they have coped with all the problems.Explained everything in detail & done everything possible to accommodate the residents re access, parking etc.As a retired Framework Supply Chain Manager for BNFL & United Utilities more than happy with their work.
Hi,I had just had my boiler repaired after a week of no hot water or heating then a Cadent worker knocked on my door the following day. He said there had been a report of a gas leak and the pipe work he was working on outside crumbled in his hand. Therefore capped my gas and the 2 flats above on 24/02/2023 at approx 2pm. I’m writing this as now day 10 of no gas so no hot water/heating/cooking. Cadent have been out twice only and a contractor a couple of times to fill in the hole. My landlord Richmond Housing Partnership have also tried to call them only to be told they would have to wait for a call back from the ‘Risers Team’? It’s minus temperatures over next 2 days. I’ve tried a cold shower and now have a cold and chest cough.How long are people expected to go? I only got a letter on the post from Cadent Saturday 04/03/23 saying work due to commence 03/03/23 - no one was doing work then accept a contractor filling in the hole they dug. No pipe work done on the risers so no gas still. It’s very very upsetting
We had a gas leak at our property I was in a state of panic and called the emergency gas number.I was gobsmacked when an engineer arrived within 15mins of me making the call, I cannot tell you how relieved I felt when I saw the Cadent van pull up!The emergency engineer temporarily shut off the gas until the repair team could attend site, they took around an hour to arrive which I think is more than reasonable given they are attending other emergencies.The engineers were brilliant they explained everything to me and instantly made me feel safe in my property again! I would like to thank Neil, Tom & Wayne who all worked together to assess and resolve the leak, fantastic group of men and a total credit to this company, I found them incredibly efficient, polite, friendly and informative. They worked swiftly to make our home safe again, very grateful for their time.
My boiler when turned on has a smell of burning, the cadent engineer, Mr asif Hussein came within the hour. He did a very thorough check of my property & all neighbouring properties for leaks. He was polite, extremely knowledgeable of his job, efficient. He talked me through the next stage of turning off my supply & getting an engineer. He also left us 2 electric heaters to keep us warm until the gas can be switched back on. He was kind & considerate and if all workmen we're like this, well we would all be happy. Thank you cadent for great staff
