We rang British Gas and said there was a strong smell of Gas coming from my elderly Mother in Laws house. Phil Burgess from Cadent came within 30 minutes of the call. He fixed the problem and was on his way within 30-45.Phil checked in after completing paperwork to see all was okay with the heating. Excellent service from both British Gas and Cadent for their speed to arrive and fix the problem.
Cadent had to enter my property to run a new gas pipe and move my gas meter. They bullied way into my flat to do the works needed after explaining I would not be free on the day as I had a hospital appointment. They even told me to cancel my hospital appointment. (I need a heart operation) then they enter my property and damage my belongings and deny they have and won't do anything about it. So I would never let cadent enter my home ever again. Worst customer service ive ever dealt with. They do not care 1 bit bout the vulnerable customers they have .
I wanted to thank Mick and James who work for Cadent. After a stressful month with having my boiler installed and having issues from an independent person. Mick and James were so helpful in giving me reassurance that the gas leak was Infact resolved through their help and assistance. Both professional, approachable and two lovely guys! Cadent has been terrible from beginning to end! Our front patio was completely dug up and everytime I call for an update no one is able to help me. I am promised call backs and over a week and still no news. Avoid doing anything with them. Terrible. Front garden all dug up and have been told work is finished. But no repairs or tidying their mess!
For the past 2 months, we’ve had Cadent Gas turn up, out of the blue, with no letters or communication to the residents living here, and start digging up the pathways on our estate.During this work, I’ve seen them dig up tp 20 massive holes/trenches, block disabled access to pavements and other people's houses/properties and leave them open for months on end. Only for them to fill them in and then a week later dig them back up again and leave them open. It’s been like watching the three stooges at work most of the time. You only see 3 workmen working on it and all you hear from them is a load of swearing, them on their phones, sitting in their vans, or digging up more holes from 8 am until 5 pm. Our estate has been destroyed by them, and at the end of each day, you see empty cans of soda, builders' cans, etc in the holes they’ve been working in. They never clean up after themselves. How is a company like this have a national contract for maintaining the gas pipes in our country if this is how their workforce acts!
5 BG engineers visited and couldn't fix boiler under the homecare scheme. Turned out the boiler was leaking gas they sent Cadent and we were condemned at 0600 on 16/10. Sales guy visited on 18/10 to sell new boiler which was agreed with an instillation of a few days to 2 weeks. Neighbours carbon monoxide testers went off, I was already condemned BG contacted Cadent again. Cadent guy tried to barge into the house at 2100 on 20/10 - refused to show ID or any time of paperwork - Cadent then contacted the Police. The police demanded entrance to find that the boiler was condemned and not operational After signing new boiler not until 18/11 - 5 weeks no hot water and no heating.I responded to Cadent's request, advised they would review and have an investigatory call with me. They tried when I was driving and unable to speak. Then emailed to advise the case had been closed.
If they uproot your gas pipes and run into a problem they will ask if they can leave it till morning. SAY NO!I was promised it would be back on by 9 this morning, it is now 10:30. They lied! So here I am boiling water to wash and waiting in till God knows when for these guys. Oh and when you phone them to complain they say," we'll call you back in five minutes," what they mean is they we won't call you back AT ALL.
Fantastic service.We needed a gas pipe moving to allow our extension to be built.Contacted Cadent the agent talked me through the procedure. I filled the relevant forms in and paid the fee.Darren the surveyor arrived at my house within a week talked me through the procedure, checked the companies work schedule asked me if a particular date was suitable. Once I agreed, he gave me a date, time and even an idea of how long it would take.They turned up on the day at the exact time, all of them had a cheerful attitude, the work was done a little quicker than his estimate.The area was left clean and tidy.You can’t ask for a better service and it’s good to give an excellent review when it’s deserved.
The engineer we had today David Darman 60003291 from Cadent Gaswas refreshingly polite, courtious and efficent. He explained to us the ins and outs of the fault ensuring we were fully aware of the process and what would happen next.He is a credit to his company.
