Cadent use contractors to replace gas…

Cadent use contractors to replace gas pipes in WR1. The information about how the company would handle the disruption was appalling. Contractors left mess, gave wrong dates when they expected to be in your home (very much at their convenience) to connect to meter and boasted they were ahead of schedule and were heard taking calls for emergency "cash jobs" which they always seemed to have time to fit in. Most of my neighbours had far worse problems than myself with 1 lady and her young son left with no working boiler (Cadent came out the next day in a cold Feb to fix/apologise). Cadent reps came out twice to say problems would be resolved but this did not happen and the customer care team at Cadent (Nathan & Hannah) were weak and ineffective telling me that all corrective work was completed...until I sent photos at which point they went very quiet. The local authority visited and said they routinely fine Cadent but this is probably no deterrent as Cadent probably build in a cost for fines due to sloppy work. if they work in your area its more than likely they got the contract due to nepotism rather than competency

Fantastic

The Cadent chaps are working in my road at the moment. N99LS.They have been absolutely brilliant and have all gone the extra mile to accommodate the fact that I work full time, by coming in earlier and coming back when I am home.I could not be more impressed than I am.Well done boys, especially Matt and Ryan.

Destroyed my porch and tiles and not attached gas meter

Destroyed my porch, refused to fix it. Gas meter is not attached to wall anymore just hanging off. Refused o fix. The put it there. Damaged floor tiles and refused to fix. Nightmare.An Cadent engineer came around today to fix it and actually made it worse. No news since...

No gas for 6 days with 3 children

They left me my partner and 3 children with no gas from Wednesday-Tuesday. This is from work they carried out as part of a government scheme. We called up many times but still could not give us answers or the truth. The communication was shocking as we kept being told someone would come out to connect the gas but they never did until SIX days later. Was told they would be compensating us for this as they left me my partner and three children with no hot water or heating for 6 days which is disgusting however 5 days later after making the complaint we have still not heard anything from them. Disgusting treatment of me and my family.

Ridiculous pricing

We needed to have the gas supply cut and permanently capped. A surveyor duly attended and quoted £1334.I queried this but the price was confirmed by e mail.I was informed only Cadent can touch the supply line I had no option but to pay. Two guys arrived today as scheduled and completed the work in 44 minutes from arrival to departure. They were pleasant and efficient.But really, £1334 for a ten minute visit from a surveyor and 44 minutes from the gas men is grossly unfair.

I was in Shepherds bush going to a meeting and had to pause. Cadent gas are not only cowboys but racist cowboys. Eye witnessed their staff racially abusing a man who fortunately stood up for himself. Here's the thing you fools... We want pay for racist to enter our homes and carry out work. What a liberty...

Gas meter moved by Cadent.

Had my gas meter moved by Cadent.Surveyor came within 2 days of applying and work booked in for the following week. Thought I would have to wait ages for it to be done.Can't fault the teams that turned up. Everything went like clockwork. Even the follow up team replacing paving etc turned up the next morning. 2 days all done and dusted.Thank you guys, thank you Cadent.

Sam nice guy

Sam was very friendly, attended within 20 minutes of calling and didn't complain about having to clamber into a tight cellar with lots of kids junk clogging the way. Thank you very much, we now feel re-assured :-)
