Review Time
I bought Alstroemaria. Good price and speedy delivery. The tubers looked a little weedy but had signs of growth. I potted them up immediately and within a week they had new healthy shoots and are doing really well. Just waiting for the weather to settle so they can be planted out in their final place.
I ordered a mini lemon tree which, to be fair, was exactly as described and looked like a really healthy plant.However, the way it was packaged was very poor. The tree was placed in a box that was far too big for it with no protective packaging at all. As a result, all six of the lemons had come off during transit and there was soil loose throughout the box.To make matters worse, the parcel was delivered upside down despite being marked “this way up”, and the courier actually threw it onto my doormat.It’s a real shame because the plant itself was great, but it clearly wasn’t packaged in a way that would protect it during delivery.On a positive note, their customer service was very good. They responded quickly and offered either a replacement or a refund. I chose a refund as I wasn’t confident a replacement would arrive any better given the packaging.Overall, a disappointing experience due to delivery and packaging, but good customer service.
