It's scam with a trap.. I bought 10$ card for myself and everything went well, since everything seemed to go well, I immediately bought a card for $50 and received email with message "Unable to Process Your eGift Card Order etc".No refund, nothing.
Bought a $25 gift card, they took my money, and never gave me anything. Bought a $20 item because I thought my first order was bugged. Also took my money and refused to give anything. Reached out to support and got nothing. If no response is given, I will reach out and manually refund and, if needs be, file legal action.
You will notice a repeating pattern here, reading other reviews. I tried a transaction for $150.00 for a PlayStation gift card. Bank flagged the transaction, but I approved. tried transaction again. CashSCamSTar showed a succesful transaction, but never send a voucher code, and both funding holds hit my bank. Now I am out $300.00 until payday, which ain't easy for a P1MP out here on the streets. Tried customer support, no help. "we are sorry....transaction holds are not our fault, will drop off in a few business days". So I guess there model is, snatch the money, earn interest on it for a few days, then eventually begrudgingly give it back if you make enough noise.
These people scammed me out of my money!!! I purchased through Sephora and they provided a link that brought me to CashStar. Once I paid and put in my info they gave an error message that said something. Like “unable to process please try again or call customer support” tried again and then finally called support.NO ANSWEr.NO RESPONSE.NO GIFT CARD!!! 😡🤬😤Just took my money and ran. Called Sephora and they said it was nothing they could do. Calling my bank and reporting them to fraud department at my bank and the BBB.
I thought I was buying a gift card from the official playstation store after they redirected me to this website. Without the checking the url because I felt i was still on the official store and not this scam thing.Money deducted but they sent an automated email before even capturing funds stating that they were unable to process the order.Should blame Playstation for this scam too
As everyone else claims, CrashScam will take your money and run away with it. They were bought years ago by another already dead company who last posted something in 2020, they are also banned from Twitter. The support contact redirects to a non-existent form and a fake phone. As the other reviews say, immediately after you buy a gift card from the PlayStation site, they automatically send you a generic mail stating that they were unable to process the order and that's it. Your money is gone.Be careful!
Cashstar is a scam. I can't believe that the PlayStation official website redirected me to them. How is it possible that Sony works with this scam company? I purchased a gift card with my PayPal, the transaction went through, I got charged and never received the code. I have messaged their customer support countless times and they just never reply to me. I lost my money. PlayStation customer support says that I need to talk to Cashstar, same with PayPal customer support. Unbelievable.
"playstation.cashstar.com" SCAM! WEBPAGE for Gift Cards – THIS IS A SCAM.CASHSTAR SEEMS TO BE A SCAM! Do not be fooled by official-looking referrals or websites.I purchased a gift card directly through the PlayStation webpage, thinking it was safe and legitimate. The payment went through, money was deducted from my account, and immediately after, I received the message:"Unable to Process Your eGift Card Order."No gift card. No refund. No proper support. Just silence. The payment was processed through CashStar – a company that appears to be acting fraudulently or with gross negligence. This is not an isolated issue. This is a pattern.I am reporting this to PlayStation, my bank, and the police. Others should do the same.Do not trust PlayStation Gift Card services handled by CashStar
