Their PlayStation gift card service was not working: when I tried to pay, I got an error saying the payment had been refused. I tried four times using two different payment methods, thinking that my payments were BEING REFUSED as the error told me. In reality CashStar has actually reserved money on my credit card and paypal account for gift cards I will never receive (and don't want anymore, CashStar I want you to cancel the pending charges). The worst part though is how this situation was handled by CashStar.First of all, CashStar customer support is only reachable by submitting a form on their platform (from the Netherlands at least). There is no phone number, e-mail or chat option. You don't even get a confirmation e-mail when you submit the form. Second, they just simply do not respond. I have not received any kind of reaction to my two messages. I think they are just letting the pending charges expire, which means I am missing 4x 60 euros of spendable income for as long as that takes. Incredibly LAZY handling of this problem. The least you can do is send me a message informing me and CashStar is either too lazy or too incompetent to manage even that. I will never buy a PlayStation gift card again as long as CashStar is the company handling them. Or any other giftcard managed by CashStar.
Bought roblox giftcards first one went fine, second & third one didnt get through, "payment declined". Took my money and didnt receive a refund or an actual reason why it didn't work. Reading the other reviews, I can kiss my money goodbye. Big mistakeUpdate: added 1 star because I got my money back, can't give a better review since the service is just not working well.
I bought a $10 Roblox Giftcard on the 6th of July 2025, and got charged for it. I then received an email telling me to wait to receive my card then immediately, I got another email saying that my transaction failed although I got charged for it. I went over and emailed their customer service, writing my issue, order number, email, and amount. A day later, I received the first email that said it is going to take about 72hrs for the cancellation and return of fund to complete. I had waited 72hrs and didn't receive any payment yet. I emailed them and they took two bloody days to respond with an unnecessary comment again. I then contacted my financial institution about it and they asked for the website link, amount spent, and an ARN code. I straightly went to email the Roblox Cashstar customer service and they sent "screenshots". There was a big blank after they said here are the screenshots. They're really starting to get on my nerves. I asked for the bloody ARN code and they keep dodging the question. All I need is the ARN code to be able to get my refund.I don't recommend buying anything Cashstar and I apologise to people who got scammed by them. Their customer service is VERY BAD: they take forever to respond and deliver you useless responses. Note that I'm not from the US so I cannot contact their phone number. Purchased a $10 Roblox giftcard FOUR TIMES. Each and everytime the giftcard was ''unable to be processed.'' I better get an explanation as to why my orders are being cancelled, and refunds. I have sent over an email, my order number is #CNPZD7CGY6W.
I bought a giftcard but didn’t receive my order, i have been emailing you guys since October last year. This is insane €80 just vanished. You guy are ridiculous. Don’t by a giftcard here they’re scammers. Contacted my bank well over 10 times, the money has been transferred correctly. Yet they claim they don’t have the money when i ordered on your god for saken website. Fix this!!!!
I repeat here an earlier critical Trustpilot review regarding my experience with CashStar. The product was a Delta Airlines gift card.I posted a 1-star review about a week ago relating my experience with Cashstar. After the review was posted, Cashstar followed up with a series of verification requests through Trustpilot, which I responded to within 24 hours. Received the following from CashStar after they had "elevated" the complaint:"Hello,We were unable to process your order.For cardholder protection reasons, the exact cause of the processing issue cannot be provided, but you can place a new order.We recommend placing the order using the same information as the last one.Please note: Your card issuer may have placed a pending hold on your funds in anticipation of a purchase. Pending holds do not indicate charges that need to be paid; they simply temporarily reduce your available credit.The pending hold will expire according to your card issuer's timeline.Thank you,Gift Card SupportThey recommended placing another order, so I proceeded. I held my breath for a similar rejection. Guess what - this time something changed! The order wasn't rejected immediately. I received the following immediate response which sounded promising:"Thank you for your purchase.Your order number is: #XXXXXXXWe'll be sending you delivery confirmation soon, along with complete order details for your records.Order processing may take up to 3 business days after order has been approved.* An email with the tracking details will be sent when the order is shipped. These Cards will be shipped active and ready to use.*processing may take longer during peak timesThank you,Delta Gift Card Team"And the basis of this derogatory review is because less than 2 hours later, I received the same, disappointing email:"We're sorry. We were unable to process your eGift Card order from Delta.Settled charges will be refunded to the original form of payment. Pending authorizations do not represent capture of funds and will expire according to the policies of the financial institution.If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at deltagiftcards@ delta.com or call 855-741-1208 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET, seven days a week. Please refer to order number #XXXXXXXXPlease keep this message for your reference.Thank you, Delta eGift Card Team"Conclusion: Buy a gift card from CashStar at the risk of disappointment, aggravation and a bunch of automated responses. Tried to buy a Playstation giftcard via the official cashstar store, I got redirected from PS official website to cashstar. After I placed my order (via PayPal), I right away received a message that they couldn't process my order. The money is now being hold and they're not getting back to my messages.
