Review Time
My experience from Champion has been a nightmare. They took over 5 months to finally install windows that were supposed to be done in 4-6 weeks and about another year for them to attempt to make them right with me. Once installed, there were multiple problem with them. The worst thing was that all the windows were sagging in the upper corners on both sides. They sent three different people at three different times out to "fix" the issues. Each time they either didn't fix anything or fixed one thing and blew off the rest. After about a year and a half after the original order, they have finally fixed most of the issues but still refuse to address the sagging windows. Their reasoning is that "that's the way they windows were made." One of the reasons we decided to buy these windows in the first place, was the statement from their salesman and I quote. "We own the factory so we can control the quality of the products we sell." So, then logic would dictate, that either that statement is a lie or they just don't care about the quality as long as they get their money. It has now been over a year and a half from the original order and just today a rude woman from "corporate" told me that they would not be correcting any more issues with my windows, that that's how they were made and that's just how they are. The second half of the approx $12,000 order is due and if we didn't pay it now we would be sent to collections and or sued for the balance and our warranty would be void. Oh yes, they did offer compensation for all the trouble we've had. They are giving us $250 off of as I said about $12,000... So, if you're in the market for windows, do yourself a favor and don't even consider Champion windows. I know I won't next year when I replace the rest of the windows in my house. Update: Champion windows has since demanded I sign a legal document prohibiting me from leaving bad reviews on any online forum. When i refused to sign and return it, they revoked the $250 discount they had offered for being a completely bad company in all respects. So, that is why you are seeing good reviews. They coerce upset customers into signing away they right to give bad reviews. I refused to sign and paid them their extra $250. You decide.
Still no response from Champion Windows!!They responded to the effect that we have tried to get in touch with me, yet still no acknowledgment of my problem ! Send me a letter, anything that will help me solve the wrong financing plan submitted when installation was completed…very disappointed in your customer service runaround twice now…no response! please send email, phone message…anything, unbelievable!
Ron did a great job of explaining the quality of their windows and what to expect as far as installation. Relative to the market place I think they were quite competitive and I like the fact that they are factory direct. I found the presentation to be laid back, low pressure and informative. Thanks, Ron
We hired Champion for new windows and siding after having a good experience with them previously. The windows we were replacing were old Pella that had been stained versus painted. For the price they charge, they did not explain they would reuse part of the old windows and like another reviewer said the 'discount' buy 2 get 2 was not really shown in the invoice. They also measured the windows incorrectly and were going to reorder them causing a delay. Then the decided to make the wrong windows work rather than ordering the correct sizes. Their installation manager Keith is not nice at all and basically threatened to fulfill their warranty obligation because I wanted one of the windows fixed. The service department did fix the window. We purchased their windows because the proprietary materials. I advise anyone considering their siding, it is not their special manufactured product. My siding was delivered from Mueller Roofing which is located in Lockland Ohio. They install material that I could have purchased at a third of the price and passed it off as their own.
Blake was our in-home sales consultant. Very nice, very well dressed, and explained everything thoroughly. He didn't over explain/mansplain, and answered all of my questions. He also didn't try to up sale me or push more products on me. He was also very knowledgeable and patient with our car who kept getting in his face to say hello. Overall I'm very thrilled with this company so far!
