Champion won't stand behind their work

Champion won't stand behind their work. We have two sets of defective windows that Champion has not repaired despite months of calls and emails. We've withheld payment on the last set of windows and initiated complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General.I've told Champion that I will pay in full as soon as they fix the problem. They want payment upfront despite the past failures.Champion, do your work, and I pay you. Why is that so hard?

Poor Quality and Service

We had a Champion sunroom installed 8 years ago and in the past year or so the seals on many of the windows have broken and the windows look cloudy/streaked. I called the local office in Greensboro in December 2021 and they ordered the replacement windows as part of our warranty. We heard nothing for months and when I contacted them in March 2022 they let me know that not all the parts were in. They finally came in in April and installation was scheduled. They came out on April 15th but only 3 of the windows had apparently been sent. These were installed and I was told the one would be reordered.... Again I had to call in July 2021 and the window had come in and installation was scheduled for 8/3/21. When the installer came today, he would not install the window without first receiving a $99 service fee and he wouldn't connect me with Champion to resolve the issue. When this was first initiated over 8 months ago I asked about any charges and was told there were none. When I spoke with the service manager in Greensboro, he too mentioned there would be no charge and they did not charge for the windows already installed. On the Champion website, warranty information says parts and labor are covered at no additional charge. I have now called and spoken with someone who reiterated the $99 fee and I have asked to speak with their supervisor but have yet to hear from anyone. Champion products are defective (seals break), they do not proactively schedule service but only when called when we haven't heard anything for months, and they do not honor their guarantee. I am very disappointed that after waiting 8 months, we still have windows that are streaked/cloudy..... I know many of these businesses are struggling with labor issues and supplies but this is very frustrating....

The person who came to my house was…great

The person who came to my house was great (Chad) he did a great presentation he had an answer to all my questions. Showed me all the things offered by Champion also there warranty was great with no hidden agendas. The only issue i had was trying to get in touch with a live person other than an appointment setter was a chore.

Very frustrating experience.

Very frustrated with the lack of customer service once they have been paid! I bought windows for my entire house and a new sliding glass door for the patio. They came to install in late March. Everything went great except for the patio door. It opened the wrong way and the screen didn't fit. They said they would order the correct door and screen and return asap. About 1.5 months later they came back with a new door and no screen. As luck would have it the replacement door was cracked in the frame. They said they will AGAIN have to order a new door and assured me that they would bring the screen next time as well. It's been 4 months since my install and I STILL do not have the replacement door or screen. Seeing the lack of urgency and poor customer service once they have received their money, I would not recommend doing business with Champion!

Great product, not so good service

I bought windows and siding from Champion in 2005. I bought because of the sales presentation and Champion guaranteeing their products for life, especially the windows. They have a GREAT product and we have been extremely satisfied with our windows and siding. In the past 17 years I had ONE seal go bad in my windows and even though it took several weeks to get the repair done, Champion delivered! Now, I have TWO that are bad and when we called to get them fixed, we were told we would have to pay a $99 trip charge for them to come out and measure and see what is needed to replace. I AM NOT HAPPY about this, but I have no other choice. We spent $15,000 with them in 2005 and I can only imagine how much they have risen in price over 17 years, but still, it is disappointing that Champion now says that I have to pay a trip charge just for them to honor their guarantee. I recommend their product but just be aware that it might be a hassle to get it done. It is NOT my fault that the seals went bad, Champion guarantees it’s products but them wants to charge ME to come out and do the repair????? You might want to keep this in mind when choosing who you want to buy windows and siding from. Just saying!

I purchased windows dec.2021 paid cash…

I purchased windows dec.2021 paid cash had an issue with windows late april2022, they sent some out to look at them july21st,2022 they were not installed properly so now I have to wait til oct3rd 2022 for issue to be fixed is that fair that I wait 10 months to fix the problem I believe that I have a warranty on these windows and this is how they treat their customers BEWARE!!!!!!

Warning!! Stay away from this company.

Stay away from this company. Everything they install can only be supported by Champion. And they are real pain to get in contact. They have NO ability to purchase simple parts for doors and will not reply to service request to obtain those parts. When I finally got to chat with someone to ask about this, which took two days to accomplish I was directed back to the same phone numbers that go unanswered. Find another company to get your doors from. I am so frustrated at this point that I am going to have the door replaced again by a better, more responsive company.EDIT: I finally got through to a person. When I said I just wanted parts for the door they said a service tech would need to get back to me in 24~48 hours to see if that was possible. This is after I refused the $99 service fee when all I need is a replacement handle that a child could install. A handle that you can only get from them by the way. Now we wait to see if they actually get back to me. In the mean time I am unable to lock my home.Update:After speaking to a representative I was told that a tech would call me back to arrange a time to get parts. After a few days I tried to call back to see what was going on. Nothing, just forwarded to voicemail that was not returned. Keep in mind that this is now three weeks into trying to get a handle for my door so I can lock my home. I am leaving town, and I was told that they just can't find the time to get me the parts needed to put the handle, and therefor lock, back on the door. If this company, or it's new parent Great Day Improvements, LLC tries to see you a door, show them to your existing door and boot them to the curb. I will post this on Great Day's page too.
