From start to finish, their level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail are truly exceptional. It has been a long time since we experienced customer service of this standard—unfortunately, many companies nowadays seem to have lost the personal touch and basic customer service etiquette.We were genuinely amazed to find a company that still values and delivers such high-quality customer care. The site staff went above and beyond to support us, making the entire experience smooth, reassuring, and enjoyable. Their professionalism and genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression on us.We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from the company the day after moving into our new home, simply to check that everything was going well and to ask if we needed anything. Unfortunately, we cannot remember the name of the lovely lady who called, but we would like to thank her as well. That thoughtful gesture truly says a lot about the company and its commitment to customers.In addition, the quality of the house itself is outstanding, especially in comparison to other developments we visited previously. The build quality, finish, and overall attention to detail are noticeably superior.Having recently visited many new developments, we can confidently say that none compared to the level of customer service and quality we received at Charles Church. Our experience started off well with Charles Church with the sales team they couldn’t have been more helpful. However the customer care team have been extremely appalling. We were advised someone would be in contact about our snagging list which took over 4 weeks and we had to chase this on multiple occasions. We had an emergency with electrics and was told someone couldn’t come out for over a week. When I advised this is not good enough someone finally came out on that day. We are now having issue with the boiler and over the Christmas have been told there is only one person on emergency call when it’s only Christmas Day and Boxing Day that are bank holidays. The customer care team are shut and had no reply from the emergency team. It’s unacceptable when you spend so much money on a house to have large issues like this after 2 months of moving in and having no urgency and lack of communication from the team.
Buying a home through Charles Church has been a wonderful process. I originally wanted to purchase a property through David Wilson Homes at Lapwing Green but 4 days before they tried to put the price up by £12k. I was extremely annoyed but have managed to have a wonderful experience purchasing a 1 bed apartment with Charles Church at Lambourn Meadows in Thatcham. Kelly and Rosie in the sales team were friendly, approachable and always called back very fast. The whole process from start to finish with them has been very good. At the end of the day any sales person wants to be nice in some way as they want a sale, but I have felt that the after service has been also very good. Gary and Alex the site managers were efficient, polite and informative. No question on handover was too stupid a question. I am hoping the after service and small snags over time, that the service will be just as good. The overall build quality is brilliant from what we have personally inspected. The outer build quality is great, the brickworks is clean, symmetrical and overall a wonderful finish. Inside the painting is immaculate, finishes overall very good. Thanks again to the whole team at Thatcham!
We recently purchased a new build with Charles Church, and I cannot speak highly enough of our site manager, Dempsey. From start to finish, he has been absolutely fantastic.Dempsey has been incredibly attentive when it comes to snagging — nothing has ever felt like too much trouble. He genuinely cares about the quality of the home and about making sure everything is right for the customer. Any issues we raised were handled promptly, thoroughly, and with a positive attitude.On top of being extremely professional, Dempsey is also just a really nice person. He is approachable, friendly, and always willing to take the time to explain things and keep us updated, which made the whole new-build experience far less stressful and far more enjoyable.Charles Church are very lucky to have Dempsey. This gave us the confidence to move forward.Overall, our experience has been very positive. From reservation through to completion, the process was well-managed and clearly communicated.
